Gages Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Warren Township, Lake County, Illinois, United States. The population was 10,637 at the 2020 census.

The College of Lake County, commonly referred to as CLC, is a public community college in Lake County, Illinois. CLC's primary campus is located in Grayslake and two other campuses exist in nearby Waukegan and Vernon Hills. It is located in the greater Chicago metro area and sits about 46 miles north of the city. In 1967, a referendum passed establishing the CLC community college district and classes began in 1969. It enrolls about 15,000 students in transfer programs, career programs, GED and adult basic education, non-credit and career development, and training for businesses.

Prairie Crossing is a pair of Metra stations located in Libertyville, Illinois. They are serviced by the North Central Service and the Milwaukee District North Line. The station is 43.4 miles (69.8 km) away from Chicago Union Station via the North Central Service, and 39.8 miles (64.1 km) via the Milwaukee District North Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, both Prairie Crossing stations are in zone H. The North Central Service station opened first, in 1996, along with the rest of the line. The Milwaukee District North Line platform opened as an infill station in 2004. The two lines cross at an at-grade diamond northwest of the station. A connector track is present at the diamond. In terms of passenger boardings, Metra considers the Milwaukee District North Line and North Central Service platforms to be separate stations. The platforms are within walking distance of each other. As of 2018, the Milwaukee District North Line platform is considered to be the 128th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 368 weekday boardings. The North Central Service platform is considered to be the 194th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 87 weekday boardings.On the Milwaukee District North Line, as of December 12, 2022, Prairie Crossing is served by 35 trains (16 inbound, 19 outbound) on weekdays, by 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. On the North Central Service, as of December 12, 2022, Prairie Crossing is served by 14 trains (seven in each direction) on weekdays.

New Gračanica Monastery (Serbian: Манастир Нoва Грачаница, romanized: Manastir Nova Gračanica) is a Serbian Orthodox monastery complex is located in Third Lake, Illinois, United States, a suburb of Chicago. The complex houses a scaled-up replica of the Gračanica monastery in Kosovo. It is a part of the Diocese of New Gracanica - Midwestern America. It has 300 acres of land, making it the 6th largest monastery among the 80 American Orthodox Christian monasteries.

The Grayslake Gelatin Factory is a defunct gelatin factory formerly owned by the Grayslake Gelatin Company, and is located in Grayslake, Illinois. It is locally known for its 80-foot-tall (24 m) smoke stack that still rises over the town, which has earned the nickname "Grayslake's Hollywood Sign".

The 2016 International Crown was a women's golf team event organized by the LPGA, played July 21–24 at the Merit Club in Libertyville, Illinois, north of Chicago. This was the second International Crown, a biennial match play event contested between teams of four players representing eight countries.

Merit Club is a private country club in Libertyville, Illinois, a suburb north-northwest of Chicago. The course was founded in 1992 by Bert Getz Sr. and his family and was collaboratively designed by Getz, Oscar Miles, Bob Lohmann and Ed Oldfield. The course architect was Bob Lohmann. It features a 6,960-yard (6,364 m) 18-hole course. The Merit Club also has three practice holes: par 4, par 3, and par 4. Merit Club hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 2000, won by Karrie Webb. It was ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the United States by both Golf Week and Golf Magazine. The Merit Club hosted the second edition of the LPGA UL International Crown on July 21 through July 24, 2016, won by the United States. The Merit Club has had a caddie program since its opening.
