Grayslake Central High School

Grayslake Community High School District 127 is a public high school district, with two schools: Grayslake Central High School and Grayslake North High School, located in Grayslake, Illinois. The district's enrollment is 2,970.

The Grayslake Gelatin Factory is a defunct gelatin factory formerly owned by the Grayslake Gelatin Company, and is located in Grayslake, Illinois. It is locally known for its 80-foot-tall (24 m) smoke stack that still rises over the town, which has earned the nickname "Grayslake's Hollywood Sign".

The College of Lake County, commonly referred to as CLC, is a public community college in Lake County, Illinois. CLC's primary campus is located in Grayslake and two other campuses exist in nearby Waukegan and Vernon Hills. It is located in the greater Chicago metro area and sits about 46 miles north of the city. In 1967, a referendum passed establishing the CLC community college district and classes began in 1969. Grayslake is a commuter railroad station on Metra's Milwaukee District North Line in Grayslake, Illinois. The station is located on the corner of Lake Street and Saint Paul Street, 41 miles (66 km) from Chicago Union Station, the southern terminus of the line, and serves commuters between Union Station and Fox Lake, Illinois. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Grayslake is in zone I. As of 2018, Grayslake is the 103rd busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 470 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Grayslake is served by 37 trains (17 inbound, 20 outbound) on weekdays, by 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. On weekdays, four inbound trains originate from here, and four outbound trains terminate here. Parking is available on both sides of the tracks, along the east side of Lake Street, the south side of St. Paul Street, and north of the intersection of St. Paul and Slusser Streets. Grayslake is the only station on the Fox Lake Subdivision with two tracks and two platforms. Because of this, Grayslake is used as a passing siding to allow trains to pass, and to allow a few midday trains to terminate here. Another Metra station in Grayslake is located on the North Central Service at Washington Street. No connection is available to Washington Street station, but the two lines do connect at Prairie Crossing.

Washington Street was opened on January 30, 2006, along with three other stations on the North Central Service. As of December 12, 2022, Washington Street is served by all 14 trains (seven in each direction) on weekdays.

New Gračanica Monastery (Serbian: Манастир Нoва Грачаница, romanized: Manastir Nova Gračanica) is a Serbian Orthodox monastery complex is located in Third Lake, Illinois, United States, a suburb of Chicago. The complex houses a scaled-up replica of the Gračanica monastery in Kosovo. It is a part of the Diocese of New Gracanica - Midwestern America. It has 300 acres of land, making it the 6th largest monastery among the 80 American Orthodox Christian monasteries.

Highland Lake is a lake in northeastern Illinois located approximately 43 miles north of Chicago in Avon Township of unincorporated Lake County. Nearby towns include Grayslake to the east, Round Lake Beach to the north, Round Lake to the west, and Hainesville to the south. Highland Lake is approximately 2,500 feet wide at the widest point east to west and 2,000 feet north to south. The total area is approximately 110 acres. with a perimeter of 1.44 mi. Common activities including wading, swimming,. fishing, and a variety of non-gas powered watercraft. In 2019 the Lake County Health Department listed it as the 5th best of 177 lakes in the county.
