Oakford, Ceredigion

Lwyncelyn is a village in Ceredigion, Wales, situated on the A487 trunk road approximately 2.7 mi (4.3 km) southwest of the town of Aberaeron and 2 mi (3.2 km) northeast of the village of Llanarth. The village forms part of the community of Henfynyw with most of the village situated along the A487 trunk road and the unclassified road leading to the nearby hamlet of Oakford, Ceredigion (Derwen Gam).

Ffos-y-ffin is a village near Aberaeron, Wales. It is a great place to see the Red Kites. It is on the very scenic road between Aberystwyth and Cardigan. There is a public house called the Red Lion. The name translates into English as "Boundary Ditch", the ditch in question can be seen from the bridge just before the public house. Ffos-y-ffin is on the A487. Travelling south west along A487 the next village is Llwyncelyn.

Mydroilyn is a village in the parish of Llanarth, Ceredigion, Wales, situated along the B4342 road. The name of the village is derived from the confluence of the Mydr and the Oilyn; two streams in the village. Of particular note, is the 200-year-old farmhouse Aelybryn, which once belonged to a Welsh landowner, the Anglican Holy Trinity Church, the Mydroilyn Independent Chapel, dated to 1898 by David Davies, the Y Ficar Wesleyan Chapel, dated to 1849, and the small 19th century corn-mill named Y Felin.

Llanerch-Ayron Halt was a small railway station on the Aberayron branch of the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line in the Welsh county of Ceredigion serving the nearby estate of Llanerchaeron. Opened by the Lampeter, Aberayron and New Quay Light Railway, the branch to Aberayron diverged from the through line at Lampeter.

Ceredigion District Council was one of six district-level authorities in the county of Dyfed, Wales, from 1974 until 1996. The district had an identical area to the pre-1974 administrative county of Cardiganshire. From its creation in 1974 the district used the name "Ceredigion" rather than "Cardiganshire", which had been used for the former county council. Further local government reorganisation in 1996 saw Dyfed County Council abolished and Ceredigion become a unitary authority, with the district council taking over county-level services to become Ceredigion County Council.

Portland Place, in the centre of Aberaeron, Ceredigion, Wales is a terrace of mid-19th century townhouses. The town of Aberaeron was developed around 1810 as a port by the Rev. Alban Thomas Jones Gwynne, a local landowner. After his father's death in 1819, Colonel A.T.J. Gwynne engaged Edward Haycock Sr. to plan a major expansion. Leases were sold in the early 1830s and development continued for much of the rest of the 19th century, the town growing as a centre for shipbuilding and commerce. The expansion of the railways, and their arrival in Aberaeron in 1909 brought these commercial endeavours to an end and the town became a seaside resort and a centre for local government. No.s 1-7 inclusive on Portland Place are Grade II* listed buildings, forming "the finest single terrace" in Aberaeron.

Aberaeron (Welsh pronunciation: [abɛˈrei̯rɔn]), previously anglicised as Aberayron, is a town, community and electoral ward in Ceredigion, Wales. Located on the coast between Aberystwyth and Cardigan, its resident population was 1,274 in the 2021 census.The name of the town is Welsh for "mouth of the Aeron". It is derived from the Middle Welsh aer (slaughter), which gave its name to Aeron, believed by some to have been a Welsh god of war.One of the main Ceredigion County Council office sites is located in Aberaeron.
