Arthur is an unincorporated community on Lunice Creek in Grant County, West Virginia, United States. It lies along County Route 5 north of Petersburg.

Grant County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 10,976. Its county seat is Petersburg. The county was created from Hardy County in 1866 and named for Civil War General and the 18th president of the United States Ulysses S. Grant.

The Manor, also known as Peter and Jesse Hutton Farm, is a historic home located near Petersburg, Grant County, West Virginia. It was built about 1830, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, L-shaped brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It features a two-story portico with pediment supported by four massive square columns. Also on the property are dependencies: a kitchen, meathouse, small storage barn, and large frame barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The creek's name most likely is a corruption of Looney('s), the name of an early soldier or settler.

The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse, previously the Hermitage Motor Inn and Taylor Cunningham Hotel, is an historic lodge in Petersburg, Grant County, West Virginia, US. It was built about 1840, and was originally a two-story brick building in a vernacular Greek Revival style. The hotel is older than Grant County and the state of West Virginia. A third story was added in the early 20th century. It features a two-story porch with turned post and balusters.It has been in continuous operation as an inn since 1881. Also on the property are the contributing wagon shed, storage cellar with granary above, log stable, and smokehouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.In 2021, the Hermitage Inn and Taphouse underwent an extensive renovation. The interior and exterior of both the inn and restaurant are fully updated, preserved using Historic Tax Credits, and modernized.

Grant County Courthouse, also known as the Old Grant County Courthouse, is a historic county courthouse located at Petersburg, serving Grant County, West Virginia. The original section was built in 1878–79 and expanded in 1909. It is composed of 3 two-story brick rectangles consisting of a large center section with lower and narrower wings. The building is styled with Neo-Colonial design features. The center section features a two-story projecting portico with pediment and supported by four Corinthian order fluted columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
