Durgon is an unincorporated community in Hardy County, West Virginia, United States. It is located on US 220/WV 28/WV 55 at the routes' junction with County Route 220/5, west of Moorefield along the South Branch Potomac River.

Lunice Creek is a 7.3-mile-long (11.7 km) tributary of the South Branch Potomac River, belonging to the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. The creek is located in Grant County, West Virginia. Lunice Creek is created by its North and South Forks and empties into the South Branch at Petersburg. The creek's name most likely is a corruption of Looney('s), the name of an early soldier or settler.

The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse, previously the Hermitage Motor Inn and Taylor Cunningham Hotel, is an historic lodge in Petersburg, Grant County, West Virginia, US. It was built about 1840, and was originally a two-story brick building in a vernacular Greek Revival style. The hotel is older than Grant County and the state of West Virginia. A third story was added in the early 20th century. It features a two-story porch with turned post and balusters.It has been in continuous operation as an inn since 1881. Also on the property are the contributing wagon shed, storage cellar with granary above, log stable, and smokehouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.In 2021, the Hermitage Inn and Taphouse underwent an extensive renovation. The interior and exterior of both the inn and restaurant are fully updated, preserved using Historic Tax Credits, and modernized.

The original section was built in 1878–79 and expanded in 1909. It is composed of 3 two-story brick rectangles consisting of a large center section with lower and narrower wings. The building is styled with Neo-Colonial design features. The center section features a two-story projecting portico with pediment and supported by four Corinthian order fluted columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
