Felindre

Mawr is a community (and former electoral ward) of the City and County of Swansea, in south Wales, U.K. Mawr has its own elected community council. Its name simply means "large", and it was given the name because it was the largest piece of land in the former parish of Llangyfelach.

Llangyfelach railway station served the village of Llangyfelach, in the historical county of Glamorganshire, Wales, from 1923 to 1924 on the Swansea District line.

West Wales Parkway (Welsh: Parcffordd Gorllewin Cymru; also proposed as Swansea North; Gogledd Abertawe and Parc Felindre) is a proposed railway station north of Swansea, near to the boundaries of the neighbouring principal area of Carmarthenshire, and the villages of Felindre and Llangyfelach. The station is proposed to be situated at the former Felindre steelworks, near Junction 46 of the M4 and A48, and near Felindre Business Park and Penllergaer Business Park. The project is in the planning stages, as part of a wider Department for Transport proposal to re-open the Swansea District line to passenger traffic.

Swansea services (Welsh: Gwasanaethau Gorllewin Abertawe, "Swansea West services") is a motorway service station on the M4 motorway at Junction 47 near Penllergaer, Swansea, Wales. It is owned by Moto and features BP gas station. Amenities include, Burger King, Costa Coffee & Express, Greggs, WHSmith, with accommodations by Travelodge and Full House.

Tircoed forest village is a suburb between the villages of Penllergaer and Pontlliw, Swansea, Wales. It is part of the Pontlliw and Tircoed community. Built from the late 1980s onwards, Tircoed currently consists of 470 houses clustered around a village hall, pond and green, accessible from the A48 via a 1⁄2-mile-long (0.80 km) road. The village has its own local community radio station - Radio Tircoed. The population in 2011 was around 884 people.The village is located in the Pontlliw and Tircoed electoral ward of Swansea.

Llangyfelach is situated about 4 miles north of the centre of Swansea, just west of Morriston. It falls within the Llangyfelach ward. To the west is open moorland. The population was 2,371 as of the 2021 UK census. The name is seemingly derived from a combination of 'llan' and 'Cyfelach' (the name of a saint), with a mutation to combine them for Llangyfelach.

Pontlliw (Welsh spelling: Pont-lliw) is a village in the community of Pontlliw and Tircoed, part of the City and County of Swansea in Wales. The village is located near Pontarddulais, off Junction 47 of the M4 motorway. The name of the village comes from the Welsh word for bridge (pont) and the name of the River Lliw which runs through the village. The Pontlliw and Tircoed community has an elected community council and has a population of 2,075. The village itself had a population of around 1,645 in 2011.Pontlliw has a primary school, as well as a number of small businesses such as a newsagent, Post Office, a restaurant and public house - The Buck and an Indian restaurant - Rasoi.Pontlliw has one active chapel, Carmel Baptist, which runs activities throughout the week in both Welsh and English.The village also is home to Pontarddulais Golf Club - which lies within the boundaries of Pontlliw despite its name featuring neighbouring village Pontarddulais. The 9-hole course opened in the 1990s under the name Allt y Graban.Pontlliw Village Hall is regularly used to stage theatrical performances and concerts as well as classes run by local groups.

It is situated about 4.5 miles north west of Swansea city centre, near junction 47 of the M4 motorway. The population of the community and ward was 2,868 in 2011.

The electoral ward consists of Penllergaer, East and West, in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. It is a mainly rural ward with grassland to the south and woodland to the north. It is bordered by the wards of Llangyfelach to the northeast; Penderry to the south; Kingsbridge to the south west; Gorseinon to the west, Penyrheol to the north west.
