Pontlliw

Pontlliw and Tircoed is a community and electoral ward in the north of the City and County of Swansea, Wales. It includes the villages of Pontlliw and Tircoed. According to the 2011 UK Census Pontlliw and Tircoed had a population of 2,529.

Pont Lliw railway station served the village of Pontlliw, in the historical county of Glamorganshire, Wales, from 1923 to 1924 on the Swansea District Line.

Tircoed forest village is a suburb between the villages of Penllergaer and Pontlliw, Swansea, Wales. It is part of the Pontlliw and Tircoed community. Built from the late 1980s onwards, Tircoed currently consists of 470 houses clustered around a village hall, pond and green, accessible from the A48 via a 1⁄2-mile-long (0.80 km) road. The village has its own local community radio station - Radio Tircoed. The population in 2011 was around 884 people.The village is located in the Pontlliw and Tircoed electoral ward of Swansea.

Grovesend railway station served the village of Grovesend, in the historical county of Glamorganshire, Wales, from 1910 to 1932 on the Llanelly Railway.

Penllergare is a country park in Wales. It was the estate of John Dillwyn Llewelyn adjacent to what is now the village of Penllergaer, Swansea. Although the names are similar, the village of Penllergaer grew up as a separate entity from the Penllergare estate. The park is listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

It is bordered by the wards of Llangyfelach to the northeast; Penderry to the south; Kingsbridge to the south west; Gorseinon to the west, Penyrheol to the north west. Grovesend (Welsh: Pengelli; ) is a village in the community of Grovesend and Waungron (Welsh: Pengelli a Waungron), City and County of Swansea in Wales. The community has a population of 1,131.Over the last 100 years Grovesend has gone through the transition of being a big mining community to a quiet semi rural village. It is mainly a residential community, with the major amenity being the welfare club. Locals often travel to nearby areas such as Gorseinon or Pontarddulais for shopping. Grovesend also has a primary school, with about 100 pupils in, and a nursing home. Grovesend has one football team Pengelli FC. Despite being one of the last villages in the West part of Swansea, like many teams of the west they compete in the 'Camarthernshire league.

Mawr is a community (and former electoral ward) of the City and County of Swansea, in south Wales, U.K. Mawr has its own elected community council. Its name simply means "large", and it was given the name because it was the largest piece of land in the former parish of Llangyfelach.

Pontarddulais (Welsh pronunciation: [pɔntarˈðɨːlais]), also known as Pontardulais (Welsh pronunciation: [pɔntarˈdɨːlais]), is both a community and a town in Swansea, Wales. It is 10 miles (16 km) northwest of the city centre. The Pontarddulais ward is part of the City and County of Swansea. Pontarddulais adjoins the village of Hendy in Carmarthenshire. The built-up population was 9,073.
