Belvoir is an Australian theatre company based at the Belvoir St Theatre in Sydney, Australia, originally known as Company B. Since 2016 and as of 2022 its artistic director is Eamon Flack. The theatre contains a 330-seat Upstairs Theatre and a 80-seat Downstairs Theatre.The Belvoir company receives government support for its activities from the federal government through the Major Performing Arts Board of the Australia Council for the Arts and the state government through Create NSW.Many Australian actors who have later found wider success both locally and internationally such as Deborah Mailman, Cate Blanchett, Jacqueline McKenzie, Richard Roxburgh, David Wenham, Toby Schmitz, Judy Davis and Brendan Cowell have appeared in Belvoir productions.

Surry Hills is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Surry Hills is immediately south-east of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Sydney. Surry Hills is surrounded by the suburbs of Darlinghurst to the north, Chippendale and Haymarket to the west, Moore Park and Paddington to the east and Redfern to the south. It is often colloquially referred to as "Surry". A multicultural suburb, Surry Hills has had a long association with the Portuguese community of Sydney.

The Cleveland House is a heritage-listed former residence, hospital, convent and aged care facility and now vacant building located at 146-164 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The building is located at the rear of the block and is best viewed from Bedford Street. Its design was attributed to Francis Greenway and built from 1823. It is also known as Cleaveland. The property is privately owned. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The White Horse Hotel is a three-storey public hotel located at 381 Crown Street in Surry Hills, close to the central business district of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Its appearance is distinguished by a large sculpture of a silver stallion constructed of galvanised steel, created in a rearing pose and set atop its facade.

The Gaelic Theatre is a split level multi purpose venue in Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia. The theatre is located on the ground floor of INA House, close to Central railway station and was voted “Best Live Music Venue - NSW” at the 2007 Jack Awards.The theatre has a capacity of 800 and has hosted a number of international and Australian touring bands, among them The Strokes, The Libertines, The Darkness, Jet, Maroon 5, Hot Hot Heat, The Kills, MC5, The Wildhearts, American rock quintet The Used, Glenn Hughes (HTP/ex-Deep Purple/Trapeze), super FLORENCE jam, British India, The Mess Hall, Children Collide, You Am I, Battles and Captain Kickarse and the Awesomes, amongst others. The theatre was opened as an entertainment venue in 2002 as part of the Gaelic Club (located on the first floor), but had been previously used as a cinema and also for stage performances. It was originally built in 1957 by the Irish National Association of Australasia as hall to service the Irish community in Sydney. In 2006, the ground floor was sold by the Irish National Association, and it re-opened under the name of The Gaelic Theatre. The theatre is located on Devonshire Street, Surry Hills and is in the vicinity of the old Devonshire Street Cemetery, which was moved during the construction of Central railway station in 1906. The Gaelic Theatre is one of the most popular live music venues in Sydney, and has been recognised for its credibility and goodwill.

The St. Maron's Cathedral, also called St Maroun’s Cathedral, is a Maronite rite Eastern Catholic Church cathedral church, located in Redfern, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is the main temple of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Saint Maron of Sydney (Eparchia Sancti Maronis Sydneyensis Maronitarum) which was created by Pope Paul VI in 1973 through the papal bull, Illo fretis Concilii. The administration of the Eparchy is overseen by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. The cathedral is the seat of Epoch Antoine-Charbel Tarabay, OLM and religious services are delivered in English and Arabic.

Railway Institute Building is a heritage-listed former educational facility and social venue at 101 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1891 to 1898. It is also known as Institute Building. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) is an Australian private tertiary education provider, with campuses in Sydney, New South Wales and Melbourne, Victoria. Founded in 1968, AIM delivers education for careers in the Australian music, entertainment and performing arts industries. Its music and performing arts courses offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate studies in contemporary performance, classical performance, audio engineering, composition and music production, musical theatre, theatre performance and acting, arts and entertainment management.The main AIM Sydney campus is located in Harrington Street, The Rocks, with the AIM Melbourne Campus located at King Street, Melbourne. Both campuses offer a wide range of music degrees and diplomas.As of January 2019, there were 1,300 students enrolled at AIM.

The University of Sydney School of Dentistry also known as Sydney Dental School is Australia’s first dental school and a constituent body of the University of Sydney, Australia. Previously the Faculty of Dentistry, the Sydney Dental School joined the newly formed Faculty of Medicine and Health on 30 April 2018. The new faculty was established to ensure the University was best positioned to address the challenges of healthcare in the 21st century. The Sydney Dental School is based at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health (part of Westmead Hospital), and Sydney Dental Hospital (situated between Chalmers Street and Elizabeth Street opposite the entrance to Central Station). The Sydney Dental Hospital was the original site of the Sydney Dental School when it was first opened in March 1901. The school also has connections with other local health district dental hospitals, and provides opportunities for students to undertake rural and regional placements. Professor Heiko Spallek has been Head of School and Dean of the Sydney Dental School since November 2018.

The Devonshire Street Tunnel is a 300-metre-long (980 ft) pedestrian tunnel located beneath the southern end of Central station connecting the suburb of Surry Hills with Railway Square in the Sydney central business district.

Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) is in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in Surry Hills, between Chalmers Street and Elizabeth Street opposite the entrance to Central railway station.SDH provides both specialist treatment and general dental services. Specialist treatment is provided to people referred statewide for Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Oral Pathology, Oral and Maxillo-facial Surgery and Implantology services. The Special Care Dental Unit provides care to those with chronic mental health conditions and the elderly. General dental care is available without a referral to children (under 18 years old) and to certain vulnerable groups of adults, including indigenous Australians and those who meet certain government social security stipulations. General dental treatment is also provided by dental students of the University of Sydney within the Department of Clinical Dentistry & Simulation.
