Silvermine is an unincorporated community in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States that extends across three southwestern Connecticut towns: Norwalk, New Canaan and Wilton.The name "Silvermine" comes from old legends of a silver mine in the area, although no silver has ever been found. Silvermine was long an art colony and remains the home of the Silvermine Guild Arts Center. The Silvermine Tavern, an inn occupying several historic buildings, also remains in the neighborhood. Silver Hill Hospital is just beyond the northern end of the neighborhood, in New Canaan near the Wilton border. There are two community groups specific to Silvermine: The Silvermine Community Association and the Norwalk Association of Silvermine Homeowners (NASH).

Merritt 7 station is a commuter rail stop on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Norwalk, Connecticut. Merritt 7 is named after an adjacent business park based near the intersection of the Merritt Parkway and Route 7.

The Enos Kellogg House is a historic house at 210 Ponus Avenue Extension in Norwalk, Connecticut. Built about 1784, it is a well-preserved example of a late-18th century post-colonial saltbox style house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Winnipauk was a station on the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad and later the Danbury Branch of the Housatonic Railroad and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Located in the Winnipauk section of the northern part of Norwalk, Connecticut, the station opened in 1852 and was an important stop that served nearby mills before it was closed in 1929.

The Silvermine River is an 8.4-mile-long (13.5 km) river that flows through the towns of Norwalk, Wilton and New Canaan, Connecticut. It is spanned by the 1899 Perry Avenue Bridge in the Silvermine neighborhood, and by the Silvermine River Bridge that carries the Merritt Parkway. Richard C. Briggs High School was a secondary school located in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. It opened in 1938 as a replacement for the Winnipauk School. Later it was turned into the secondary level Center for Vocational Arts but is now named after Dr. Richard C. Briggs, who was superintendent of Norwalk schools from 1971 to 1980. Now Briggs High is an alternative to the two traditional high schools (Norwalk and McMahon). Its current principal is Marie Allen. [1] Briggs students have the opportunity to enroll in the Briggs-Norwalk Community College Academy, in which they can take college classes at Norwalk Community College while they are still in high school. There is an active photography program at Briggs High School. The class of 2007 included 22 graduates.In January 2007 Briggs was listed by the ConnCAN educational research consultancy as number 7 in their list of Connecticut schools making significant progress in shrinking the gap between white and minority students on standardized test scores, and it was the only high school in the top 10 on the list.In August 2008 the school underwent some external refurbishments that included a new sign and trees planted in front of the building. Materials and labor were provided by volunteers from a nearby office of the General Electric corporation. Briggs high school was renamed Norwalk Pathways Academy and then closed in 2018.

Silver Hill Hospital is a non-profit psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. established in 1931. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission and provides behavioral health care treatment. This includes psychiatric and addiction services. From 2010 to 2018, Silver Hill Hospital hosted the annual Giving Hope Gala, a fundraiser to benefit the Patient Financial Aid Fund, which assists patients lacking funds to cover the costs for the hospital's long-term residential treatment programs. The gala was founded by Michael Cominotto and husband Dennis Basso.

Kent Road station was a commuter rail stop on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line. It was located near the border between Wilton and Norwalk, south of a grade crossing with Kent Road in Wilton, Connecticut. It opened in 1976 and closed in 1994. A previous station on the site, South Wilton, closed in 1971.

The Joseph Loth Company Building is a historic industrial building at 25 Grand Street in Norwalk, Connecticut. It is a two-story brick Romanesque Revival structure with a four-story clock tower. The rear of the building has been altered by the addition of modern concrete sections in the 1950s. Built in 1903, it is a well-preserved example of industrial architecture of the period, and is a local landmark.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 17, 1984.

South Wilton is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southern part of the town along U.S. Route 7, in the valley of the Norwalk River. It is bordered to the north by Wilton Center and to the south by the city of Norwalk. South Wilton was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.
