South Wilton is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southern part of the town along U.S. Route 7, in the valley of the Norwalk River. It is bordered to the north by Wilton Center and to the south by the city of Norwalk. South Wilton was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Cranbury Park is the largest public park in Norwalk, Connecticut. It is located in northern Norwalk, on the former Gallaher Estate, a 227-acre (92 ha) country estate developed in the 1920s by Edward Beach Gallaher, an important figure in the early American automobile industry. The park's amenities include miles of walking trails, a picnic pavilion, a disc golf course, and the Carriage House Arts Center, located in the estate's former carriage house. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The David Lambert House is a historic house museum at 150 Danbury Road in Wilton, Connecticut. Built about 1726 by one of the town's early settlers, it is a well-preserved colonial-era house with later Federal and Colonial Revival alterations. It is now owned by the local historical society. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Merritt 7 station is a commuter rail stop on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Norwalk, Connecticut. Merritt 7 is named after an adjacent business park based near the intersection of the Merritt Parkway and Route 7.

The Sloan-Raymond-Fitch House is a historic house at 224 Danbury Road in Wilton, Connecticut. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, five bays wide, with a side-gable roof and a large central chimney. A smaller two-story ell extends to the rear. The main block is evaluated to have been built sometime between 1760 and 1780, based on the construction methods used, while the ell is believed to be an older structure. The building has undergone some form of restorative work on several occasions, but has retained a significant amount of its original workmanship, and is a well-preserved 18th-century structure. The house has been moved from its original location. It is now on the same property as the Betts-Sturges-Blackmar House, and is part of a museum complex operated by the Wilton Historical Society.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Winnipauk was a station on the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad and later the Danbury Branch of the Housatonic Railroad and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Located in the Winnipauk section of the northern part of Norwalk, Connecticut, the station opened in 1852 and was an important stop that served nearby mills before it was closed in 1929.

Richard C. Briggs High School was a secondary school located in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. It opened in 1938 as a replacement for the Winnipauk School. Later it was turned into the secondary level Center for Vocational Arts but is now named after Dr. Richard C. Briggs, who was superintendent of Norwalk schools from 1971 to 1980. Now Briggs High is an alternative to the two traditional high schools (Norwalk and McMahon). Its current principal is Marie Allen. [1] Briggs students have the opportunity to enroll in the Briggs-Norwalk Community College Academy, in which they can take college classes at Norwalk Community College while they are still in high school. There is an active photography program at Briggs High School. The class of 2007 included 22 graduates.In January 2007 Briggs was listed by the ConnCAN educational research consultancy as number 7 in their list of Connecticut schools making significant progress in shrinking the gap between white and minority students on standardized test scores, and it was the only high school in the top 10 on the list.In August 2008 the school underwent some external refurbishments that included a new sign and trees planted in front of the building. Materials and labor were provided by volunteers from a nearby office of the General Electric corporation. Briggs high school was renamed Norwalk Pathways Academy and then closed in 2018.

Silvermine is an unincorporated community in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States that extends across three southwestern Connecticut towns: Norwalk, New Canaan and Wilton.The name "Silvermine" comes from old legends of a silver mine in the area, although no silver has ever been found. Silvermine was long an art colony and remains the home of the Silvermine Guild Arts Center. The Silvermine Tavern, an inn occupying several historic buildings, also remains in the neighborhood. Silver Hill Hospital is just beyond the northern end of the neighborhood, in New Canaan near the Wilton border. There are two community groups specific to Silvermine: The Silvermine Community Association and the Norwalk Association of Silvermine Homeowners (NASH).

The Perry Avenue Bridge over the Silvermine River in the Silvermine section of Norwalk, Connecticut was built in 1899. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.Its depiction in paintings and photographs by artists of nearby art schools has been repetitive. It "has come to represent the history and character of the Silvermine region in Fairfield County.": 8 Features include a cut stone ring and rusticated brownstone curbing.A 1955 flood ripped rocks from its spandrels, making it impassable.

Wilton Center is a neighborhood/section and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wilton in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 732. The CDP partially overlaps the Wilton Center Historic District.

Cranbury is a neighborhood or section in the northeast corner of the city of Norwalk in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The Save Cranbury Association, a local community group, describes itself as an "association of citizens dedicated to the preservation of the historical, rural quality of Cranbury area of Norwalk".
