Spring Hill is a section of Norwalk, Connecticut named after the hill on which most of the neighborhood sits. The neighborhood is located west of the Central section of Norwalk, across U.S. Route 7 and north of Interstate 95 and U.S. Route 1. Norwalk Hospital is on the eastern edge of the neighborhood. Riverside Cemetery is on the northeastern edge. About 9,000 people live in Spring Hill, a densely populated part of the city where condominiums have been built in recent decades. The Spring Hill Neighborhood Association is an advocacy group for the community. In 2008, the parks committee of the First Taxing District of Norwalk agreed to create a park out of a 0.75-acre (3,000 m2) tract surrounding the water towers in the neighborhood (bordered by Dover Street, Grandview Avenue and Magnolia Street). The property includes several oak trees that are about 150 years old. Up until the creation of the park, the neighborhood was the only one in Norwalk without a park. Riverside Park, a 1-mile (1.6 km) long strip, previously existed where the "Super 7" highway connector was built in the early 1980s.Norwalk Hospital is a major landowner in the neighborhood. Aside from the land where the hospital buildings are located, the hospital owns more than a dozen parcels totaling roughly 6 acres (2.4 ha) on Truman, Stevens and Maple streets, Magnolia Avenue and Rhodonolia. The parcels contain houses, condominiums and medical facilities.Jefferson Science Magnet School is located in Spring Hill.

The Silvermine River is an 8.4-mile-long (13.5 km) river that flows through the towns of Norwalk, Wilton and New Canaan, Connecticut. It is spanned by the 1899 Perry Avenue Bridge in the Silvermine neighborhood, and by the Silvermine River Bridge that carries the Merritt Parkway. Norwalk Hospital is a not-for-profit, acute care community teaching hospital in the Hospital Hill section of Norwalk, Connecticut. The hospital serves a population of 250,000 in lower Fairfield County, Connecticut. The 366-bed hospital has more than 500 physicians on its active medical staff, and 2,000 health professionals and support personnel. The hospital was part of the Western Connecticut Health Network, which included two other hospitals - Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital - up until April 2019, when WCHN merged with Health Quest to form Nuvance Health.

Wall Street station was a station on the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad (later the Danbury Branch of the Housatonic Railroad and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad) located in Norwalk, Connecticut. It opened in 1852 and closed around 1956. A new station at the site has been considered.

The Wall Street Historic District in Norwalk, Connecticut is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The area encompasses the commercial and civic center of the Central Norwalk neighborhood, and includes 42 buildings, most of which are on the south side of Wall Street. Among the buildings included is an 1860 Gothic Revival church at the corner of Wall and Mott Streets.

The Central or Midtown section of Norwalk, Connecticut is an urbanized area in roughly the geographic center of the city, north of the South Norwalk neighborhood and the Connecticut Turnpike. Wall Street, West Avenue and Belden Avenue are the main thoroughfares. It has also been called "Norwalk Center" or "Downtown Norwalk". Central Norwalk is the location of a state courthouse, the Norwalk post office, the Norwalk YMCA, Norwalk Library and the River View Mall. On the north side of the intersection of West Avenue and Interstate 95, Mathews Park is the location of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion, the Stepping Stones Museum for Children, The Center for Contemporary Printmaking, the building which formerly housed the Norwalk police headquarters and Pine Island Cemetery. St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, a Gothic revival building with a very tall steeple, is a local landmark. The neighborhood has seen many new developments in recent years and local officials are considering reopening the Wall Street train station on the Danbury Line. In the summer of 2006, local merchants began the Main and Wall Street Festival with the involvement of 15 businesses, and they expanded the festival with 70 businesses involved in the second year (when it was held on August 2, 2007). At the 2007 festival, developers showed off their plans for the neighborhood.

Richard C. Briggs High School was a secondary school located in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. It opened in 1938 as a replacement for the Winnipauk School. Later it was turned into the secondary level Center for Vocational Arts but is now named after Dr. Richard C. Briggs, who was superintendent of Norwalk schools from 1971 to 1980. Now Briggs High is an alternative to the two traditional high schools (Norwalk and McMahon). Its current principal is Marie Allen. [1] Briggs students have the opportunity to enroll in the Briggs-Norwalk Community College Academy, in which they can take college classes at Norwalk Community College while they are still in high school. There is an active photography program at Briggs High School. The class of 2007 included 22 graduates.In January 2007 Briggs was listed by the ConnCAN educational research consultancy as number 7 in their list of Connecticut schools making significant progress in shrinking the gap between white and minority students on standardized test scores, and it was the only high school in the top 10 on the list.In August 2008 the school underwent some external refurbishments that included a new sign and trees planted in front of the building. Materials and labor were provided by volunteers from a nearby office of the General Electric corporation. Briggs high school was renamed Norwalk Pathways Academy and then closed in 2018.

St. Mary is a Roman Catholic church in Norwalk, Connecticut, part of the Diocese of Bridgeport. As the first Catholic Church in Norwalk from which three other parishes developed, St. Mary's is considered the Mother Church of Norwalk.

Winnipauk was a station on the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad and later the Danbury Branch of the Housatonic Railroad and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Located in the Winnipauk section of the northern part of Norwalk, Connecticut, the station opened in 1852 and was an important stop that served nearby mills before it was closed in 1929.

WFOX (95.9 MHz, advertised on air as "95.9 The Fox") is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock format. The station is licensed to Southport, Connecticut, United States, and it serves the Bridgeport area. The station is owned by Connoisseur Media as of May 10, 2013. The WFOX studios are located on Wheelers Farms Road in Milford; the station's transmitter is on Shirey Street in Norwalk.

WNLK (1350 AM) is a radio station licensed to serve Norwalk, Connecticut. The station broadcasts brokered Christian radio programming. WNLK is owned by Veritas Catholic Network, Inc., after being sold by Cox Radio, Inc. in 2011 and initially operated by Sacred Heart via a local marketing agreement; prior to 2011, WNLK and WSTC simulcast a commercial news/talk format. On January 25, 2016, WNLK dropped its public radio simulcast with WSHU (1260 AM) and went silent, and then returned to the air on June 1, 2016, with a brokered religious format. The station has been assigned the WNLK call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since it was first licensed.
