The Hawthorne Place District is a historic district in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The district was built in the 1890s by various architects including the McConnell brothers, Burnham & Root, and Pond & Pond. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on March 26, 1996.

Kwanusila is a 12.2 meter (40 foot) tall totem pole carved from red cedar. It stands in Lincoln Park at Addison Street just east of Lake Shore Drive in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The colorfully painted totems include a grimacing sea monster at the bottom, a man riding a whale above it, and Kwanusila the Thunderbird on top.

Louis B. Nettelhorst Elementary School is a public K-8 school in Lake View, Chicago. It is a part of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) school district. Its namesake is Louis Nettelhorst, Sr., a German immigrant who once headed the Chicago Board of Education from 1888 to 1892. An 1893 Chicago Tribune article described him as "one of the most popular German-American citizens of Chicago".

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is a Catholic church located in Lake View, Chicago, Illinois. It was established in 1886 by Fr. Patrick O’Brien. The church is also associated with the private K-8 school, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy, which was established in 1888. On May 2025, the school gained widespread attention when it held a mock conclave, in which a student was elected pope and took the papal name Augustine. Two days later, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of the Order of Saint Augustine, who was born and raised in Chicago, was elected as Pope Leo XIV.

The Legacy Walk is an outdoor public display on North Halsted Street in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which celebrates LGBT contributions to world history and culture. According to its website, it is "the world's only outdoor museum walk and youth education program dedicated to combating anti-gay bullying by celebrating LGBT contributions to history." It is the world's largest collection of bronze biographical memorials.

Minibar was a gay bar in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States, previously located at 3341 N. Halsted. It was opened in 2005 by John Dalton and Stu Zirin and closed in 2016.

A monument commemorating LGBT veterans is installed in Boystown, Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. The memorial was dedicated by the Chicago chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights in 2017.

The Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame (formerly Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame) is an institution founded in 1991 to honor persons and entities who have made significant contributions to the quality of life or well-being of the LGBT community in Chicago. It is the first city-sponsored hall of fame dedicated to LGBT people, organizations and community in the United States.
