Temple Sholom (formally Temple Sholom of Chicago) is a Reform Jewish congregation located at 3480 N. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1867, it is one of the oldest and largest synagogues in Chicago with over 1,100 Member Families

Immaculata High School was an all-girls Catholic high school located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. It was open from 1921 to 1981. The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1977.The campus buildings received Chicago Landmark status on July 27, 1983. Still standing at Irving Park Road and Marine Drive, they were designed by Prairie School architect Barry Byrne, a onetime apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright. The sculpture of Mary above the entrance, now removed, was the work of frequent Byrne collaborator Alfonso Iannelli.The Immaculata High School records are currently housed at the Women and Leadership Archives.

American Islamic College (AIC) is a private, not-for-profit Islamic institution of higher education in Chicago that accepts students from all backgrounds. According to its webpage, AIC is designed especially to prepare students for "leadership and policy making roles in American society; and for management and staff of American Muslim institutions, and; serving as a resource to American institutions and individuals for learning about Islam." As of 2017, enrolling fewer than 50 students, AIC offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Islamic Studies and master's of Islamic divinity.

A monument commemorating LGBT veterans is installed in Boystown, Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. The memorial was dedicated by the Chicago chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights in 2017.

Unabridged Bookstore is known for its dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Hand-written, personal recommendations from employees line the shelves.

Louis B. Nettelhorst Elementary School is a public K-8 school in Lake View, Chicago. It is a part of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) school district. Its namesake is Louis Nettelhorst, Sr., a German immigrant who once headed the Chicago Board of Education from 1888 to 1892. An 1893 Chicago Tribune article described him as "one of the most popular German-American citizens of Chicago".

The Legacy Walk is an outdoor public display on North Halsted Street in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which celebrates LGBT contributions to world history and culture. According to its website, it is "the world's only outdoor museum walk and youth education program dedicated to combating anti-gay bullying by celebrating LGBT contributions to history." It is the world's largest collection of bronze biographical memorials.
