The Mandel Brothers Warehouse Building is a historic warehouse at 3254 N. Halsted Street in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The Mandel Brothers Department Store, one of the oldest department store companies in Chicago at the time, built the warehouse in 1903 to support its delivery service. Prominent Chicago architecture firm Holabird & Roche, who also designed both stores and warehouses for many of Chicago's other department store companies, designed the warehouse. The firm used a Renaissance Revival design for the warehouse, an uncommon choice that stood out from Chicago's many utilitarian warehouses. Their design features a brick exterior with quoins, an arched entrance and windows, and a parapet with decorative brickwork.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1993.

The Legacy Walk is an outdoor public display on North Halsted Street in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which celebrates LGBT contributions to world history and culture. According to its website, it is "the world's only outdoor museum walk and youth education program dedicated to combating anti-gay bullying by celebrating LGBT contributions to history." It is the world's largest collection of bronze biographical memorials.

The Playground Theater, founded in 1997, remains the only continuously operating non-profit theater in Chicago dedicated to an art form invented in Chicago - Modern Theatrical Improvisation. The Playground was founded in 1997 by its original member companies. The Playground theater exists as a non-profit co-op, governed by its member companies, or "teams." The Playground currently is home to over 12 house teams in addition to guest teams, and members of the theater's Incubator Program. Located at 3209 N. Halsted Street, The Playground features performances every night. From time to time the theater holds auditions for its signature Incubator Program, in which applicants are judged on their skills at scene-based improvised comedy. Those who pass are assembled into Incubator Teams with a certain guaranteed number of shows on The Playground's stage. The newly hatched teams are then free to govern their own fates, hire their own coaches, and generally pursue a career as an improv ensemble. Some Incubator teams eventually wind up applying for membership status with the theater.The Playground launched Playground Theatricals in 2015 with the production of Don Chipotle, an original play written by Juan Villa. Playground Theater was created to provide a venue for Chicago's improvisers to have more artistic control over the work they produce.At the end of 2016, The Playground Theater announced the launch of a new program for writers, directors and performers called MOSAIC. MOSAIC which will focus on artists exploring individual identity and celebrating uniqueness. MOSIAC accepted a 7-month MOSAIC writer and production residency will run in association with The Department of Cultural Affairs at the Chicago Cultural Center. MOSAIC will begin accepting submissions for COMEDY and THEATRICAL productions in 2016.

The Lake View State Bank Building was a bank building at 3179 N. Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois. It was designed by Ivar Viehe-Naess and was built at a cost of $125,000 in 1920. It replaced Lake View State Bank's previous building which was a half-block south and was built five years earlier. The building was demolished in August 2021. The bank became insolvent during the Great Depression, and was closed by the State Auditor on September 22, 1930. On July 1, 1946, the Belmont National Bank opened in the building. The building also housed medical offices in the mid-20th century. In 1968, the Belmont National Bank doubled the floor space it occupied in the building, and opened a drive-thru banking service. In 1987, Water Tower Trust and Savings Bank purchased Belmont National Bank, and in 1993 it was sold to River Forest Bancorp. The building last housed a Fifth Third Bank branch and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois. The Hubbard Street Group demolished the building in favor of new construction, but did not disclose who planned to occupy the new building in advance.A demolition permit was issued August 4, 2021, and demolition began August 13. Because the bank was FDIC insured, the application for a demolition permit should have triggered a review to determine whether the bank was a historic building, according to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. However, no review took place.

The Annoyance Theatre, or Annoyance Productions, is a theatre and associated ensemble based in Chicago, Illinois, that deals mainly in absurd and outrageous humor. Many people who have performed with the ensemble have gone on to become successful stage and screen actors. Popular productions have included Co-Ed Prison Sluts and That Darned Antichrist. Annoyance Productions currently runs classes in improvisation, writing, musical improvisation, acting, and solo work.

The Briar Street Theatre is a theatre located in Chicago, Illinois, and is home to the long-running Blue Man Group. Originally the carriage house for the Marshall Field and Company horses, the space was purchased by Walter Topel and reconstructed into a theater. The Briar Street Theatre is most notably associated with the Blue Man Group act, which began performing at the Briar Street Theatre in 1997 and, as of March 20, 2022, is still performing there.

Clark was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Howard Line, which is now part of the Red Line. The station was located at the corner of Clark and Roscoe Streets in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, at what is now the junction between the Red and Brown lines. Clark was situated north of Belmont and south of Addison. Clark opened on June 6, 1900, and closed on August 1, 1949, along with 23 other stations as part of a CTA service revision.

A monument commemorating LGBT veterans is installed in Boystown, Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. The memorial was dedicated by the Chicago chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights in 2017.

The Vautravers Building is a historic apartment building at 947 W Newport in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago. It was relocated in 2021 to preserve it as part of the reconstruction of the CTA Red Line elevated rail structure.Constructed in 1894, the building's original owners refused to sell when the Northwestern Elevated Railroad was constructed, forcing the track to be curved to avoid the building. It was moved approximately 30 feet to allow the rail line to be straightened so trains could operate at a faster speed.Fourteen other buildings in the area were demolished as part of the rail improvements, with the Vautravers Building the only structure to be preserved by relocation.

Louis B. Nettelhorst Elementary School is a public K-8 school in Lake View, Chicago. It is a part of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) school district. Its namesake is Louis Nettelhorst, Sr., a German immigrant who once headed the Chicago Board of Education from 1888 to 1892. An 1893 Chicago Tribune article described him as "one of the most popular German-American citizens of Chicago".
