Sehnde is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Hanover.

Algermissen is a village and a municipality in the district of Hildesheim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 12 km north of Hildesheim, and 20 km southeast of Hanover. The name of the town originates from a prominent German family who lived in the area until the Revolutions of 1848—the Algermissens were of the revolutionary party and were driven from Germany when the revolution was suppressed. Part of the family relocated to Missouri, in the United States, but the town continued to bear their name.

The Villa Nordstern is a former grand residence on the Iltener Straße in Lehrte (formerly Ilten), Lower Saxony, Germany. It was built for industrial magnate Hermann Manske in 1892. Since 1990 it has stood abandoned, although there have been a variety efforts to restore it as a historic monument or private development.

Ahlten is a village in northern Germany with a population of around 5500. It belongs to the administrative district of the city of Lehrte, five kilometres east. Both towns are part of the multitown region "Hanover Region" with its own administration. Ahlten is 10 km east of the City of Hannover which is the capital town of the federal state "Niedersachsen" (Lower Saxony). Ahlten is since the 1920s the site of a large substation. From this substation in 1944 an experimental HVDC power line to Misburg was built (Lehrte-Misburg HVDC).

Lehrte is a town in the district of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 17 km east of Hanover. In the 19th century Lehrte was the most important railway junction in the former Kingdom of Hanover. As of the 21st century, it has a population of 43,000.

Sarstedt is a town in the district of Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany. It has approximately 18,500 inhabitants. Sarstedt is situated 20 km south of Hanover and 10 km north of Hildesheim. Sarstedt station is on the Hanoverian Southern Railway and is served by the Hanover S-Bahn. The GEO 600 gravitational wave detector is located nearby. The former independent municipality Giften has been a part of Sarstedt since 1 March 1974.

Ahlten is a railway station located in Ahlten, Hannover, Germany. The station is located on the Hanover–Brunswick railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn as part of the Hanover S-Bahn. The station is served by trains on routes S3 and S7. The station was opened in 1906 together with the then new branch of the Hanover-Brunswick railway and was rebuilt twice in the 1990s, in particular to accommodate the Hanover S-Bahn services which were established in 1998. The southern platform is now out of use. The tracks of the old Hanover-Brunswick line which now forms part of the Hanover freight bypass railway pass a few metres to the north of Ahlten station and are flanked by low-height auxiliary platforms which were used when trains had to be diverted due to track work. Since the section between Tiergarten junction and the junction from Misburg canal port has been closed in 2003, these platforms are now out of use. The passenger and freight lines meet about 600 m east of the station.

Harsum is a village and a municipality in the district of Hildesheim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 6 km north of Hildesheim, and 25 km southeast of Hanover.

Gleidingen is a part of the town of Laatzen in the district of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated south of both Hanover and the center of Laatzen.

Lehrte (German: Bahnhof Lehrte) is a railway station located in Lehrte, Germany. The station opened on 15 August 1843 and is located on the Berlin-Lehrte Railway and Hanover–Brunswick railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn, WestfalenBahn and Metronom.

Giesen is a village and a municipality in the district of Hildesheim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 6 km northwest of Hildesheim, and 22 km southeast of Hanover. The municipality includes five villages: Ahrbergen (pop. 2,219) Emmerke (pop. 1,684) Giesen (pop. 3,401) Groß Förste (pop. 795) Hasede (pop. 1,606)

Kronsberg is a hill about six kilometres in length and dominates the surrounding areas up to 30 meters, just outside Hanover. The highest point on the Kronsberg is the scenic hill with 118 meters (387 ft). The only taller hill in the city is the "Monte Müllo" landfill site, standing at 122 metres (400 ft). It mainly consists of marl.
