Ahlten

Ahlten is a railway station located in Ahlten, Hannover, Germany. The station is located on the Hanover–Brunswick railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn as part of the Hanover S-Bahn. The station is served by trains on routes S3 and S7. The station was opened in 1906 together with the then new branch of the Hanover-Brunswick railway and was rebuilt twice in the 1990s, in particular to accommodate the Hanover S-Bahn services which were established in 1998. The southern platform is now out of use. The tracks of the old Hanover-Brunswick line which now forms part of the Hanover freight bypass railway pass a few metres to the north of Ahlten station and are flanked by low-height auxiliary platforms which were used when trains had to be diverted due to track work. Since the section between Tiergarten junction and the junction from Misburg canal port has been closed in 2003, these platforms are now out of use. The passenger and freight lines meet about 600 m east of the station.

The Villa Nordstern is a former grand residence on the Iltener Straße in Lehrte (formerly Ilten), Lower Saxony, Germany. It was built for industrial magnate Hermann Manske in 1892. Since 1990 it has stood abandoned, although there have been a variety efforts to restore it as a historic monument or private development.

Lehrte is a town in the district of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 17 km east of Hanover. In the 19th century Lehrte was the most important railway junction in the former Kingdom of Hanover. As of the 21st century, it has a population of 43,000.

The Evangelical Kronsberg Church Centre (German: Evangelisches Kirchenzentrum Kronsberg) is a place of worship in the Kronsberg neighbourhood of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The Church belongs to the St. Johannis-Kirchengemeinde Bemerode parish, within the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover. The church centre is a simultaneum, hosting Baptists as well as Lutherans for prayer services.

The Parish Church of St. Maria Angelica in Hanover, Germany, is the church of the Old Catholic Parish of Hanover/Southern Lower Saxony (Pfarrgemeinde Hannover/Niedersachsen-Süd). The church, which has been in use since 2010 and was consecrated on 3 September 2011, is located on a property that originally belonged to the neighbouring Lutheran parish of St. James (Jakobikirche). The land was purchased in 2003 by the Old Catholic parish.

St. Jakobi is the name of a Lutheran parish and church in Hannover-Kirchrode, Lower Saxony, Germany. It dates back to the 12th century, was remodeled in Baroque style, destroyed in World War II, and restored.

Lehrte (German: Bahnhof Lehrte) is a railway station located in Lehrte, Germany. The station opened on 15 August 1843 and is located on the Berlin-Lehrte Railway and Hanover–Brunswick railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn, WestfalenBahn and Metronom.

Kronsberg is a hill about six kilometres in length and dominates the surrounding areas up to 30 meters, just outside Hanover. The highest point on the Kronsberg is the scenic hill with 118 meters (387 ft). The only taller hill in the city is the "Monte Müllo" landfill site, standing at 122 metres (400 ft). It mainly consists of marl.

Zu den heiligen Engeln (To the Holy Angels) is a Catholic parish and church in Hanover-Kirchrode, Lower Saxony, Germany. The church was built in 1964 on a design by Josef Bieling, and was remodeled in 2014. It is now the parish church of a larger parish, serving the district Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode. It belongs to the deanery of Hanover and the Diocese of Hildesheim. The church is dedicated to the angels. In 1977, the church served for a pilot project by the ZDF for nation-wide regular live broadcasts of services on television. The parish collaborates in ecumenical partnership with Protestant parishes in the neighbourhood. It was certified for ecological awareness and management.
