Hannoversches Straßenbahn-Museum or Hanover Tramway Museum comprises a collection of tramcars from all over Germany, and is located on the site of a former potash mine in Sehnde, southeast of the city of Hanover.

The M'era Luna is a gothic festival that encompasses a number of different styles such as metal, future pop, aggrotech, synthpop, gothic rock, dark wave, and ebm. It is held annually on the second weekend of every August, in Hildesheim, Germany at Flugplatz Hildesheim-Drispenstedt, a former British Army airbase. The M'era Luna includes camping facilities and has two stages: a large rock festival style structure, erected for the show each year, and a former aircraft hangar. With its 20,000–25,000 regular attendants (21,000 in 2005, 23,000 in 2009, 24,000 in 2010) (many flying in via the Hanover airport, with others traveling via road and railway), the M'era Luna is one of the biggest dark music events in Germany. The festival's logo is based on the image of the moon from the 1902 film A Trip to the Moon by the French director Georges Méliès. An altered version of the logo was introduced for the 2019 festival.

Flugplatz Hildesheim-Drispenstedt is an airfield located near Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany. It was formerly Tofrek Barracks a British Army installation used during both the Second World War and the Cold War. The airfield is home to the M'era Luna Festival.

The Hildesheim Börde (German: Hildesheimer Börde or Braunschweig-Hildesheimer Lössbörde) is a natural region, 272 km2 in area, in the northern part of Hildesheim district, which is known for its especially rich black earth loess soil.

Soßmar is a village in Lower Saxony, about 30 km south of Hanover, 13 km east of Hildesheim and 12 km west of Peine, a few minutes from the national highways B494 and B65. Hildesheim Hauptbahnhof (German for Hildesheim Central Station) is the main railway station for the city of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. The station opened in 1961 and is located on the Lehrte–Nordstemmen, Hildesheim–Brunswick and Hildesheim–Goslar railway. The train services are operated by DB Fernverkehr, Erixx, Metronom and NordWestBahn.

Steuerwald Castle (Burg Steuerwald) is a Romanesque castle in Hildesheim, a city in Lower Saxony, Germany. The castle is currently used by a private riding club and is not open to the public. There are plans to convert the castle into a cultural centre and to use it for exhibitions and concerts afterwards. The roofs of the Romanesque palace and of several other buildings were renovated in 2010.

Kupferstrang is a small river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a branch of the Innerste in Hildesheim.

St. Bernward's Church is a Catholic church in the city of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. The name refers to the bishop Bernward of Hildesheim (960-1022) who was canonized by Pope Celestine III.
