Grimstead

East Grimstead is a village in the civil parish of Grimstead, on the River Dun in Wiltshire, England, about 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Salisbury. The village has about 70 households and no shops, public houses or schools.

West Grimstead is a village in the civil parish of Grimstead, on the River Dun in Wiltshire, England, about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) southeast of Salisbury.

The Pepperbox, also known as Eyre's Folly, is a folly tower that stands near the highest point on Pepperbox Hill, the peak of a chalk ridge about 5 miles (8 km) south-east of the city of Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Built in 1606 by Giles Eyre, the folly is a three-storey hexagonal tower constructed of brick, with its entrances and windows blocked up. The building's original purpose is unknown, though theories include that it was built to provide Eyre with views of Longford Castle or to provide local landowners' wives, including Eyre's wife Jane, with a lookout tower to watch the hunt. The tower is considered one of the oldest follies, and is a Grade II listed building. The tower and hillside are owned by the National Trust.

Blackmoor Copse (grid reference SU234292) is a woodland in southeast Wiltshire, England, managed as a nature reserve by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. The copse lies within Pitton and Farley parish, about 5+1⁄2 miles (9 km) east of Salisbury. A 31.3-hectare (77-acre) area of the wood was notified as a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1971. The site is adjacent to another, larger, woodland SSSI, Bentley Wood.

Clarendon Park is a Grade I listed building, estate and civil parish near Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. At the 2011 census the population of the parish was 246.The parish is almost entirely farmland, with parkland and gardens around the 18th-century house. In the southwest the parish extends to the Petersfinger area on the western outskirts of Salisbury, and the west bank of the Salisbury Avon. The Clarendon Way recreational footpath passes through the parish.

Brickworth Down and Dean Hill (grid reference SU246259) is a 118.6 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, notified in 1951.

Alderbury is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, in the south of the county around 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Salisbury.The parish includes the village of Whaddon, which is adjacent to Alderbury, and the hamlet of Shute End. The River Avon forms the western boundary of the parish. The villages are on the Salisbury-Southampton road which became the A36 primary route; a bypass was opened in 1978, taking the A36 to the east of the villages.

The village is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the county boundary with Hampshire. The parish includes the hamlets of Cowesfield Green (east of Whiteparish on the A27) and Newton (southwest, near the A36).

Bentley Wood (grid reference SU250295), together with the adjacent Blackmoor Copse, form one of the largest contiguous areas of woodland in Wiltshire, England. The wood is about 6 miles (10 km) east of Salisbury, north of the village of West Dean, and is largely within West Dean parish. An area of 665 hectares of the wood was notified as a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1985. The site is important for butterflies, with species present including purple emperor, white admiral and pearl-bordered fritillary.

Trafalgar Park (also known as Trafalgar House, formerly Standlynch Park) is a large Georgian country house about 1.4 miles (2.3 km) northeast of the village of Downton in south Wiltshire, England, and 4.5 miles (7.3 km) southeast of the city of Salisbury. It was built in 1733 and is now a Grade I listed building. The house stands in extensive grounds on the left bank of the River Avon, opposite Charlton-All-Saints.
