Fernhill Heath railway station

Fernhill Heath is a village in Worcestershire, England. It is in the civil parish of North Claines in Wychavon district. Fernhill Heath is located on the A38 main road on the north-side of the City of Worcester and is approximately 3 miles north of Worcester and 3 miles south of Droitwich. The population of Fernhill Heath is around 3,000 people. The village features two Public Houses called The White Hart, The Bull and, a sub-post office, 3 shops, a primary school, a Baptist church, War Memorial Hall and a community centre. Fernhill Heath railway station was closed in the 1960s, but may reopen as a parkway station.One of the oldest properties within Fernhill Heath is Fernhill Heath House which was once owned and occupied by Lady Hindlip (Mrs Allsopp) who had moved into this as a widower upon the death of Lord Hindlip. The house is now owned after extensive renovation 30 ish years ago by Richard Pearce. Agatha Hindlip donated money to the village upon her death to build a bowling green - however only the street name remaining Agatha Gardens.

The Church of St Michael and All Angels is a Grade I listed church in Martin Hussingtree, Worcestershire.The west wall is probably of 12th century origin, but the remainder of the church was rebuilt in the early 13th century.Thomas Tomkins was buried in the churchyard on 9 June 1656.

In 2011 the parish had a population of 180. The parish touches Tibberton, Martin Hussingtree, Salwarpe, Oddingley, Warndon and North Claines.

Blackpole Halt railway station was a station to the north of Worcester, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened during World War I to serve a nearby munitions factory and closed afterwards, before reopening again between 1940 and 1946 for the same purpose in World War II.

A report in February 2013, by the Bridge Schools Inspectorate, rated the overall quality of teaching as good, with outstanding elements.

Royal Air Force Worcester or more simply RAF Worcester is a former Royal Air Force relief landing ground (RLG) which was located 1.7 miles (2.7 km) north east of Worcester city centre, Worcestershire, England and 4.4 miles (7.1 km) south west of Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Martin Hussingtree is a small village situated between Droitwich Spa and Worcester in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is north of another village called Fernhill Heath. It is situated on a junction of the A38 and A4538. A public house called The Swan is located just north of the junction. Its name derives from two separate manors: Meretun (meaning farmstead by the boundary) and Husan Treo (boundary tree of lands belonging to Husa, a personal name).The village is within the area of the Hindlip, Martin Hussingtree and Salwarpe parish council. The churchyard of the Church of St Michael and All Angels contains the grave of Thomas Tomkins, a composer of sacred music in the time of Queen Elizabeth I and King James I. He was a relative by marriage of the Folliott family, who were Lords of the Manor of Martin Hussingtree for generations. His work "Galliard-the Lady Folliott's" was written in honour of his daughter in law, Isabella Folliott.

North Claines is a civil parish in Wychavon district, Worcestershire, England, immediately north of the city of Worcester. It includes the settlements of Fernhill Heath, Bevere, Lower Town, and Hawford. It is bordered to the west and north west by the River Severn and the River Salwarpe, with the Droitwich Canal running parallel to the Salwarpe. The parish was formed in 1885 when the southern part of the parish of Claines was incorporated into Worcester under the Worcester Incorporation Act.At the 2011 census the parish had a population of 3,520. The area of the parish was stated as 6.4745 square kilometres (2.4998 sq mi).The parish has a parish council, the lowest level of local government. It is part of Lovett and North Claines ward (which had a 2011 population of 5,437) for elections to Wychavon district council. As of January 2022 there are 30 listed buildings in the parish: Bevere House and the Mill Hall at grade II* and 28 including bridges, houses and a canal lock, at grade II.

Worcester City Football Club is an English football club based in Worcester, Worcestershire. The club play in the Midland Football League, the ninth tier of English football. Established in 1902, the club play at Claines Lane. Worcester City's most notable successes include an FA Cup First round victory against Coventry City and a third round win, in the same competition, against Liverpool F.C.

Claines is a small village just to the north of Worcester, England, on the east bank of the River Severn. Claines is situated in the heart of Worcestershire on the A449 between Worcester and Kidderminster. It has a church which dates from the 10th Century. Although not part of Claines itself the Worcester suburb of Cornmeadow Green, which is adjacent to Claines village, is generally referred to as Claines, a result of when the area was once historically part of Claines Parish prior to Worcester expanding and various administrative boundary changes many years ago. Furthermore, Claines village also falls under the Worcester City Council local government administrative area. Claines is known for The Mug House, one of only two pubs in a churchyard in England. Pineau De Re, the 2014 Grand National winner, was trained at Claines and is also stabled there. The Claines village name signs were replaced by Worcestershire County Council in 2014 to recognise the win and connection to the village.

Hindlip Hall is a stately home in Hindlip, Worcestershire, England. The first major hall was built before 1575, and it played a significant role in both the Babington and the Gunpowder plots, where it hid four people in priest holes. It was Humphrey Littleton who told the authorities that Edward Oldcorne was hiding here after he had been heard saying Mass at Hindlip Hall. Four people were executed and the owner at that time barely escaped execution himself due to the intercession of Lord Monteagle. It was later owned by a poet and was for a while a girls' school before being rebuilt by Lord Southwell in 1820. The Hall was designated as a potential home for the war cabinet in 1940. It is now home to the West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service headquarters.

Salwarpe is a small village and civil parish in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire, England, less than two miles south west of Droitwich, but in open country. The name is also spelled Salwarp, and in the time of John Leland was recorded as Salop. Since 2003, Salwarpe has shared a parish council with Hindlip and Martin Hussingtree.
