Worcester City Football Club is an English football club based in Worcester, Worcestershire. The club play in the Midland Football League, the ninth tier of English football. Established in 1902, the club play at Claines Lane. Worcester City's most notable successes include an FA Cup First round victory against Coventry City and a third round win, in the same competition, against Liverpool F.C.

North Claines is a civil parish in Wychavon district, Worcestershire, England, immediately north of the city of Worcester. It includes the settlements of Fernhill Heath, Bevere, Lower Town, and Hawford. It is bordered to the west and north west by the River Severn and the River Salwarpe, with the Droitwich Canal running parallel to the Salwarpe. The parish was formed in 1885 when the southern part of the parish of Claines was incorporated into Worcester under the Worcester Incorporation Act.At the 2011 census the parish had a population of 3,520. The area of the parish was stated as 6.4745 square kilometres (2.4998 sq mi).The parish has a parish council, the lowest level of local government. It is part of Lovett and North Claines ward (which had a 2011 population of 5,437) for elections to Wychavon district council. As of January 2022 there are 30 listed buildings in the parish: Bevere House and the Mill Hall at grade II* and 28 including bridges, houses and a canal lock, at grade II.

Elgar Technology College was a secondary school in Worcester, Worcestershire, England, that was formed in 1983 and closed in 2009. It was a co-educational community school with an enrollment of about 860 students aged from 11 to 16. Elgar held Specialist Technology College status.The school was formed following a merger of Perdiswell School and Samuel Southall Merriman's School. Many students were from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. There were low proportions of students from minority heritage backgrounds and a small number of students for whom English is an additional language. The attainment of students on entry spanned the full ability range but on average was lower than the national figure. There were slightly higher proportions of students with learning difficulties or disabilities. In 2007, less than 42% of pupils achieved five or more A*-C grades for GCSEs. In 2007 following an Ofsted report the school was placed into special measures; Eleven out of twenty inspection criteria areas were graded as being exceptionally low.After failing to improve according to the Ofsted requirements, Elgar Technology College was closed in 2009. The site was taken over and a new school, Tudor Grange Academy, a sister school to Tudor Grange School in Solihull, occupied the premises and opened on 1 September 2009.

Tudor Grange Academy Worcester is a mixed secondary school in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. It occupies the site of the former Elgar Technology College that was disbanded following its inability to improve under the special measures received from Ofsted. Tudor Grange Academy Trust then sponsored the school, renamed it after the Solihull school named "Tudor Grange Academy Solihull" and heavily renovated the site. The new academy was established in 2009 and was the second academy school of its type to be set up in England, opening for the new school year in September. Work on refurbishing the buildings was scheduled to begin in April 2011, to be supervised by the Worcester Council Children's Services Department, and was expected to be completed in early 2013. Some of the new premises were expected to be ready for student use by late 2012.Sponsored by Tudor Grange Academy, Solihull, and entirely funded by The Department for Education, the academy supports local communities in its catchment area of the northern half of the city of Worcester and it suburbs, serving the same area as the former Elgar Technology College. The first head teacher is Claire Maclean, the former deputy head of the Technology College.

Royal Air Force Worcester or more simply RAF Worcester is a former Royal Air Force relief landing ground (RLG) which was located 1.7 miles (2.7 km) north east of Worcester city centre, Worcestershire, England and 4.4 miles (7.1 km) south west of Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Blackpole Halt railway station was a station to the north of Worcester, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened during World War I to serve a nearby munitions factory and closed afterwards, before reopening again between 1940 and 1946 for the same purpose in World War II.

Fernhill Heath is a village in Worcestershire, England. It is in the civil parish of North Claines in Wychavon district. Fernhill Heath is located on the A38 main road on the north-side of the City of Worcester and is approximately 3 miles north of Worcester and 3 miles south of Droitwich. The population of Fernhill Heath is around 3,000 people. The village features two Public Houses called The White Hart, The Bull and, a sub-post office, 3 shops, a primary school, a Baptist church, War Memorial Hall and a community centre. Fernhill Heath railway station was closed in the 1960s, but may reopen as a parkway station.One of the oldest properties within Fernhill Heath is Fernhill Heath House which was once owned and occupied by Lady Hindlip (Mrs Allsopp) who had moved into this as a widower upon the death of Lord Hindlip. The house is now owned after extensive renovation 30 ish years ago by Richard Pearce. Agatha Hindlip donated money to the village upon her death to build a bowling green - however only the street name remaining Agatha Gardens.

Astwood Halt railway station was a station in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened in 1936 and closed in 1940.

Bishop Perowne CE College is a Church of England secondary school with academy status located in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. It is a co-educational school, with a capacity of 1,050 pupils aged between 11 and 16. The school is a specialist Performing Arts College and was the first Worcestershire school to take Specialist Performing Arts status in 2002. The school takes its name from two former Bishops of Worcester, John Perowne (Bishop of Worcester 1891–1901), and his son Arthur Perowne (Bishop of Worcester 1931–1941). An Ofsted inspection in May 2012 judged the school to be Grade 2 (good). Lead inspector Michael Miller said: "The proportion of students achieving, and currently on track to achieve, five or more higher grade GCSE passes, including English and Mathematics, is above average. Opportunities for performance through the school's specialist status benefit students well and boost their confidence.
