Royal College of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, popularly known as Royal College, is a college located in Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra and is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is the only major higher education institute in Mira-Bhayandar. N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research and N. L. Dalmia High School are situated just opposite to it. The college was rated "A with 3.10 CGPA" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).Royal College is a part of the Royal Society, which was founded on 28 December 1966 by Prof. Asgar E. Lakdawala. It has minority quota for Muslim students. The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Management Studies. Dahisar (Marathi pronunciation: [d̪əɦisəɾ]) is the northernmost neighborhood (and railway station) of Mumbai. Dahisar is the first locality of Mumbai from the north. The suburb is a very cosmopolitan suburb, which has a large Gujarati population, the Marathis are the second most visible group in the suburb. Not to be confused with Dahisar Mori in Navi Mumbai. On the Mumbai Suburban Railway (which is part of the Indian Western Railway line), that runs from Churchgate to Virar, Dahisar is immediately north and next to the populous suburb of Borivali, which has a train station of the same name. After Dahisar, when travelling northwards on the Churchgate - Virar Western Railway line the immediate next railway station or stop is Mira Road station.

Dahisar (station code: DIC) is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Dahisar station is the last station within Brinhanmumbai Municipal Corporation limits. The area around the station has heavy traffic and is congested. With the construction of the railway line connecting Dahisar to the city of Mumbai in 1867, came the first lot of migrants, the people from Sindhudurg region of Konkan. These migrants established the first planned residential areas of Dahisar - Maratha Colony in Dahisar East and Mhatre Wadi in the West. The Railway authorities wanted to name the Railhead at Dahisar as Mount Poinsur, but the locals opposed this move and forced the authorities to name it as Dahisar. Currently, it has 4 platforms with 2 for Slow line (Up and Down) and 2 for fast line (Up and Down). All platforms can handle 15-coach Suburban trains. The station was originally named Mount Poinsur, after the locality of the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church in Borivali. Due to demands from local residents who referred to the area as Dahisar, the Railways agreed to rename the station.

Ovari Pada is the elevated northern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Red Line 7 of Mumbai Metro. This station is located in an elevated position on Western Express Highway in North Mumbai. This metro station was inaugurated on 2 April 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Mandapeshwar Caves (Marathi: मंडपेश्वर गुहा) is an 8th Century rock-cut shrine dedicated to Shiva located near Mount Poinsur in Borivali, a suburb of Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. The caves were originally Buddhist viharas.These 6th century caves are located in a corner of Borivali- an otherwise northern suburb of Mumbai.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Borivali (West) has been a Roman Catholic Parish from 1547 to 1739 and again from 1912 onwards. Its present clergy are Fr Gerald Fernandes (PP), Fr Gilbert Cardoza, Fr Joel Pinto, Fr Robin Kinny and Fr Joseph David. It is situated in I.C. Colony (Immaculate Conception Colony) which is a large colony situated in the suburbs of Borivali, in the North Western face of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
