Henry Hagg Lake (also known simply as Hagg Lake) is an artificial lake in northwest Oregon, in the United States. The reservoir is an impoundment of Scoggins Creek, which drains a small portion of the eastern side of the Northern Oregon Coast Range. The lake and creek are part of the Tualatin River’s watershed in the Tualatin Valley. It is located about 5 miles (8.0 km) southwest of Forest Grove.The lake is named for Henry Hagg, an Oregon dairy farmer who was active in local agricultural committees during the first half of the twentieth century.

Oregon's 1st congressional district is a congressional district located in the U.S state of Oregon. The district stretches from Portland's western suburbs and exurbs, to parts of the Oregon coast. The district includes the principal cities of Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Tigard, all located in the Portland metropolitan area. Geographically, the district is located in the northwest corner of Oregon. It includes all of Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook Counties, most of Washington County excluding the extreme southeast, and a portion of southwest Multnomah County in Portland. The district has been represented by Democrat Suzanne Bonamici since 2012. Bonamici won a special election to replace David Wu, who resigned in the wake of accusations of sexual misconduct.

Gaston is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Located between Forest Grove to the north and Yamhill to the south, the city straddles Oregon Route 47 and borders the Tualatin River. Named after railroad executive Joseph Gaston, its population was 637 as of the 2010 census.

Scoggins Creek, formerly known as "Scoggin Creek", is a 19-mile (31 km) tributary of the Tualatin River in Tillamook and Washington counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is named for pioneer settler Gustavus Scoggin.Surrounded by lava and basalt flows and layers of sandstone, it flows generally southeast from near South Saddle Mountain in the Northern Oregon Coast Range and through a 1,700-foot (520 m)-wide valley to Henry Hagg Lake, an impoundment of Scoggins Dam. Just downstream from the lake, the creek empties into the Tualatin River about 20 miles (32 km) west of Portland, at an elevation of 171 feet (52 m). The creek enters the Tualatin River 60 miles (97 km) upstream of the Tualatin's confluence with the Willamette River.The five named tributaries of Scoggins Creek from source to mouth are Fisher, Parsons, Wall, Tanner, and Sain creeks. Wall, Tanner, and Sain enter at Hagg Lake.

Dilley is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. It is located south of Forest Grove and north of the city of Gaston on Oregon Route 47 in the Portland metropolitan area. Settled in the late 1840s, the community was platted in 1874 after the arrival of the railroad.

Wapato Lake is a restored historic lake located in what became parts of Washington County and Yamhill County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The area was sometimes known as Wapato Lake Bed and Wapato Flat. The lake is located about a half mile east of Gaston at 55 metres (180 ft) elevation. The lake bed soils contain a layer of organic peat that once supported a wetland community dominated by the wapato plant, Sagittaria latifolia, particularly in the upper marsh areas. Wapato plants were reintroduced to the restored lake by tribal people from the Grand Ronde Reservation in preparation for the opening of the Wapato Lake National Wildlife Refuge in March 2023.

Kristof Farms is an apple orchard and grape vineyard located in Willamette Valley of the United States, near the city of Yamhill, Oregon. The land was first homesteaded in the early 20th century and produced cherries until 2018, at which point the farm was converted to produce cider apples and pinot noir grapes.Kristof Farms is featured in Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's book Tightrope. The authors attribute their decision to plant high-value crops to research done for the book. In an interview with local magazine Willamette Week, Kristof said, "Yamhill, in many ways, has done spectacularly well with the arrival of the wine and tourism industry. It truly is a spectacularly thriving and resilient place. America is also thriving and strong and resilient, yet there are a lot of Americans who have been left behind. So, by all means, readers should come visit Yamhill and drink good Yamhill pinots while also understanding that there's a story beyond the vineyards."

Cove Orchard is an unincorporated community in Yamhill County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is along Oregon Route 47 between Yamhill and Gaston in the northern part of the county.According to Oregon Geographic Names, F. C. Graham of Portland platted the community and chose the name. Cove Orchard had a post office from 1912 to 1953.

Tualatin Hills is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located due west of Portland and just east from the Oregon Coast Range in the upland hills of the Tualatin River watershed and encompasses elevations between 200 and 1,000 feet (61 and 305 m). It was established on May 13, 2020 by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). It lies entirely within the northern most location of the Willamette Valley AVA in and around towns like Gaston, Forest Grove, Sherwood and Cornelius. To the south and southeast are the Chehalem Mountains with elevations of over 1,000 feet (300 m) and considered to be a separate, distinct landform from the uplands within Tualatin Hills. The region stretches over approximately 144,000 acres (225 sq mi) and contains 21 wineries with 33 commercially-producing vineyards that covers approximately 860.5 acres (348 ha). The distinguishing features of Tualatin Hills are its soils, elevation, and climate.

C. W. Mertz Rental House No. 2 is a building in Forest Grove, Oregon that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 21, 2005. It was built by architect John Taylor. It is a contributing property within the Clark Historic District.The house is notable for being built of hollow concrete walls, a process developed by John Taylor. The Taylor Process Hollow Concrete Wall system had two concrete walls with a continuous air space between them. Taylor filed a patent for the mold that was used to build the walls. As the walls were built up vertically from a concrete foundation, reinforcing ties were added between the double walls. When the specified height was reached, the top was closed with a suitable cap. The exterior walls could be finished with any adaptable finish, but stucco was the most common method. The Zula Linklater House in Hillsboro was also built using this construction method. About a dozen buildings in Forest Grove, and a few outside the city, were constructed using Taylor's double-wall method.: 9–11 

Gales Creek, is a tributary, 23.5 miles (37.8 km) long, of the Tualatin River in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The headwaters of Gales Creek are on the north side of the mountain Round Top in the Northern Oregon Coast Range. The community of Gales Creek, Oregon, is near the creek, which further downstream forms the southwest border of the city of Forest Grove.
