Gaston Junior/Senior High School is a public high school in Gaston, Oregon, United States.

Gaston is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Located between Forest Grove to the north and Yamhill to the south, the city straddles Oregon Route 47 and borders the Tualatin River. Named after railroad executive Joseph Gaston, its population was 637 as of the 2010 census.

Dilley is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. It is located south of Forest Grove and north of the city of Gaston on Oregon Route 47 in the Portland metropolitan area. Settled in the late 1840s, the community was platted in 1874 after the arrival of the railroad.

Gales Creek, is a tributary, 23.5 miles (37.8 km) long, of the Tualatin River in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The headwaters of Gales Creek are on the north side of the mountain Round Top in the Northern Oregon Coast Range. The community of Gales Creek, Oregon, is near the creek, which further downstream forms the southwest border of the city of Forest Grove.

Wapato Lake is a restored historic lake located in what became parts of Washington County and Yamhill County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The area was sometimes known as Wapato Lake Bed and Wapato Flat. The lake is located about a half mile east of Gaston at 55 metres (180 ft) elevation. The lake bed soils contain a layer of organic peat that once supported a wetland community dominated by the wapato plant, Sagittaria latifolia, particularly in the upper marsh areas. Wapato plants were reintroduced to the restored lake by tribal people from the Grand Ronde Reservation in preparation for the opening of the Wapato Lake National Wildlife Refuge in March 2023.

The Alvin T. Smith House is a two-story home on Elm Street in Forest Grove, Oregon, United States. Completed in 1856, it is the second oldest building in the city and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. A Greek Revival style house, it was built by pioneer Alvin T. Smith beginning in 1854.

Chehalem Ridge Nature Park is a 1,260 acres (510 ha) nature park in the Portland metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 2021, the park is owned and operated by Metro, the regional government in the Oregon portion of the metro area. This is despite that the park is located outside the regional government's boundary. The park is named after the Chehalem Mountains, where the park is located. The park is located off Dixon Mill Road, east of Gaston between Oregon Route 47 and Oregon Route 219.

Carnation is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Carnation lies on Oregon Route 47 on the south side of Forest Grove. Originally called South Forest Grove by white settlers, it was later dubbed Carnation after the flagship product of the Pacific Coast Condensed Milk Company, later called the Carnation Milk Products Company, which opened Oregon's largest condensery there in 1902. The company was lured by the confluence of easy rail transportation and plentiful dairy suppliers. The community had its own post office during 1905 and 1906 and again from 1914 to circa 1933. The original post office was established May 20, 1905, in the store of Clarence L. Bump, who was also the first postmaster. The Oregon & California Railroad built its depot in Carnation, which was linked to downtown Forest Grove by a streetcar starting in May 1906. The transportation company that managed the streetcar went out of business in 1911 and the line was discontinued. The area is now part of the Forest Grove Rural Fire Protection District. Addresses here are listed as part of Forest Grove. The area is home to the historic Alvin T. Smith House and the SakéOne brewery, kura and tasting room.

The Isaac Macrum House, located in Forest Grove, Oregon, is a house that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Painter's Woods Historic District, located in Forest Grove, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Painter's Woods includes the earliest modern subdivision addition to Forest Grove, and represents Forest Grove's transition from a largely agrarian community to a small-urban center of commerce and education. Subsequent construction reflected the ebbs and flows of development in Forest Grove over time. Primarily residential in character, the district includes well-preserved examples of a broad range of architectural styles in currency between 1880 and 1948. It is adjacent to the Clark Historic District.

C. W. Mertz Rental House No. 2 is a building in Forest Grove, Oregon that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 21, 2005. It was built by architect John Taylor. It is a contributing property within the Clark Historic District.The house is notable for being built of hollow concrete walls, a process developed by John Taylor. The Taylor Process Hollow Concrete Wall system had two concrete walls with a continuous air space between them. Taylor filed a patent for the mold that was used to build the walls. As the walls were built up vertically from a concrete foundation, reinforcing ties were added between the double walls. When the specified height was reached, the top was closed with a suitable cap. The exterior walls could be finished with any adaptable finish, but stucco was the most common method. The Zula Linklater House in Hillsboro was also built using this construction method. About a dozen buildings in Forest Grove, and a few outside the city, were constructed using Taylor's double-wall method.: 9–11 

Laurelwood is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The community is located southwest of the Portland metropolitan area near Oregon Route 47 along Laurelwood Road, to the east of the city of Gaston and Wapato Lake. Laurelwood, a farming community, has a population of approximately 500 people. Settled in the 1860s, the community was home to Laurelwood Academy from 1904 until 2007. A large portion of the community is of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
