Dayanand Anglo Vaidik Mahavidyalaya (D.A.V. College) is a college in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, established in 1919 by Lala Diwan Chand, is the second oldest college in the city. The college is situated in Civil Lines, opposite the Green Park Stadium. It is affiliated with Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University (formerly Kanpur University), formerly with the University of Agra. The college is accredited by the Indian NAAC. Manas Pandey is present principal of this college. It is managed by the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College Trust and Management Society.

Green Park Stadium is an international standards cricket stadium of Kanpur, India. Its seating capacity is 32,000 seats. It is the home ground of Uttar Pradesh cricket team.This arena is an International Test match venue. Green Park is under the control of the Sports Department Uttar Pradesh. It has hosted international cricket matches in both of Test and ODI format. The stadium hosted the 500th test played by the Indian team. It also organized four Vivo IPL matches, on 19 and 21 May 2016 and on 10 and 13 May 2017. As of 19 August 2017 it has hosted 22 Tests, 14 ODIs and 1 T20I. It is situated near the river Ganga. The stadium was named after a British woman named Green who used to go horse riding there, and is nicknamed 'Billiards Table', and also 'Woolmer's turf', after the late cricket coach and player Bob Woolmer who was born in McRobert Hospital opposite to the stadium.

British India Corporation Limited (BIC) is a central public sector undertaking under the ownership of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The cpsu produces textiles for use by civilians and the Indian armed forces. It manufactures the popular "Lal-imli" and "Dhariwal" brands of woollen products. The cpsu was established in 1872 or 1876 by Sir Alexander MacRobert as a cpsu when he combined his six companies into one enterprise. MacRobert died on 22 June 1922 and his widow, Rachel, Lady MacRobert, assumed the role of director until her eldest son, Alasdair, became chairman in 1937.Its date of incorporation in the Registrar of Companies is 24 February 1920. In 1981, it was nationalised and taken over by the Government of India. It has not generated profit since 1989.Headquartered in Kanpur, BIC nominally operates two woollen mills in Kanpur and Dhariwal (Punjab). In 2006 the cpsu employed over 2,700 people and had aggregated revenues of ₹373 million (US$4.7 million). It ceased manufacturing in 2005 but still employs 1,800 people. New weaving machines installed in 2005 have never been used.

Bishambhar Nath Sanatan Dharam Inter College is an intermediate college in Chunniganj, Kanpur, India. It educates students up to class XII. It opened in 1939. The college provides education in Science, Commerce, Arts and other subjects. Dr. Ram Chandra Singh is the principal. It is named after Rai Bhadur Bishambhar Nath who was an industrialist, banner, freedom fighter and social worker. He devoted his life to the cause of national integration, and to the spread of the Gandhian way of life.

It is one of the oldest and premier textile Institute of North India, established in 1914. It offers professional degrees of bachelor's of technology (4years) in 4 streams Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Man Made Fibre Technology and Textile Engineering; and Master's in technology (2 years) in textile technology and textile chemistry to students selected through a State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) conducted by Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) every year. It made a modest start in 1914.
