Blue Point is a hamlet and census-designated place in Suffolk County on Long Island, New York, United States. The population was 5,156 at the 2020 census. Blue Point is in the Town of Brookhaven.

Blue Point Brewing Company is a brewery that is a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev located on Long Island, in Patchogue, New York. The brewery offers a variety of year-round beers, and several seasonal brews, as well as a 'tasting room' which is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The brewery hosts an annual Cask Ale Festival, concerts and other events in the brew yard.

Bayport Aerodrome (FAA LID: 23N) (formerly known as Davis Field and then from 1953-1977 as Edwards Airport) is a historic rural airport one mile northwest of Bayport, New York. The airport has a grass runway and is owned and operated by the Town of Islip. It is home to a non-profit organization that specializes in antique airplanes, known as the Bayport Aerodrome Society, which was established in 1972. Bayport Aerodrome is not used for commercial aviation, such as the nearby Long Island MacArthur Airport. The airport has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a national historic district since January 22, 2008.

Bayport-Blue Point High School is a high school in Bayport, New York, United States. It was originally constructed in 1927 as an elementary school and high school for the Hamlet of Bayport. It is part of Bayport-Blue Point Union-Free School District, along with three elementary schools (Academy Street, Blue Point, and Sylvan Avenue) and one middle school (James Wilson Young Middle School). The school originally consisted of a single unit built in 1927, with numerous additions over the years, one in 1940 and another in 1960. In March 2003, the Bayport-Blue Point School district passed a bond referendum that gave the high school significant upgrades. During the 2003-2004 school year, a new auditorium was built at the southwest corner of the school, and the music rooms were renovated. During the 2004-2005 school year, another addition was added at the northeast corner of the school incorporating a new front entrance, an enlarged cafeteria, and ten new classrooms. During the 2005-2006 school year, the gymnasium received significant upgrades, which included the addition of a newer but smaller auxiliary gymnasium, new weight rooms, and a secondary gymnasium lobby. The bond, which was completed in time for the 2006-2007 school year, cost $35.5 million, and added approximately 50,000 square feet in additional space.In November 2015, the district passed another bond worth $30 million, of which $8 million is going into the high school. Among the improvements are the construction of two brand-new turf fields, restoration of the original 1927 building, locker replacement, and curb/masonry restoration.

Sandspit Park Beach & Marina is located on the Patchogue River in the Village of Patchogue in Suffolk County, New York. Sandspit is on Brightwood Street off Ceder Ave directly south of the Patchogue Long Island Rail Road Station. Sandspit is home to the Patchogue and Davis Park Ferry terminal to the Atlantic Ocean Beach and bayfront communities of Davis Park, Leja Beach/Ocean Ridge. The Park & Marina offer Long Island Bay and riverside views, with shaded park benches and restrooms. There is a large parking lot which is free for Brookhaven residents. Non-residents must pay a parking fee. In the summer season this park facility may reach full parking capacity;, however, many recreationalists and visitors alike can find ample parking on the village side streets. This Long Island Village park and marina has a small Bay beach area, and there is a private river-front restaurant at the corner of the Patchogue River and Brightwood Street called On the Waterfront. There is a fenced-in playground, a fishing pier on the southeast section of the park, a fairly large village Marina. It is on Division Street between West Avenue (Suffolk County Road 19) and South Ocean Avenue. The station is located in the Patchogue-Medford Union Free School District. Patchogue Bay is a lagoon on the south-central shores of Long Island in the U.S. state of New York. Part of the Great South Bay, Patchogue Bay is a cove between the points of land known as Blue Point and Howells Point, and across which ferries run south to Fire Island.
