Los Indios is a U.S. border town in Cameron County, Texas. The population was 1,008 at the 2020 census. It is included as part of the Brownsville–Harlingen–Raymondville and the Matamoros–Brownsville metropolitan areas. The Free Trade International Bridge connects Los Indios with Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

The Free Trade International Bridge is an international bridge which crosses the Rio Grande connecting the United States-Mexico border cities of Los Indios, Texas and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The bridge is also known as "Los Indios-Lucio Blanco Bridge", "Puente Lucio Blanco-Los Indios", "Puente Internacional Libre Comercio" and "Los Indios Free Trade Bridge".

The Los Indios Port of Entry opened in 1992 with the completion of the Free Trade International Bridge in 1992. The crossing handles both passenger vehicles and commercial trucks. Because of the length of the bridge and the rural location, there are very few pedestrians. The Bridge is owned jointly by Cameron County and the cities of Harlingen and San Benito. For many years, Los Indios was the sole port of entry for transmigrantes transporting goods from the United States to Latin America.

Carricitos is an unincorporated community in Cameron County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 25 in 2000. It is located within the Rio Grande Valley and the Brownsville-Harlingen metropolitan area.

Landrum, also known as Landrum Station, is an unincorporated community in Cameron County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 125 in 2000. It is located within the Rio Grande Valley and the Brownsville-Harlingen metropolitan area.

Río Rico is a village located along the Rio Grande in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It includes a portion of the Horcón Tract, a narrow 461-acre (1.87 km2) piece of land (including former riverbed) that was part of the United States until 1977. The Horcón Tract was originally north of the meandering river—and thus part of the U.S. state of Texas—until an unauthorized diversion of the river to its north cut it off from the rest of the state in 1906. Río Rico was founded years later, in 1929, and developed as a de facto Mexican settlement. In 1967, an American geography professor discovered what had happened and it was determined that parts of Río Rico were legally on U.S. territory, making those who were born there American citizens by birthright. The international border was moved under the terms of the Boundary Treaty of 1970, placing the tract and the village in Mexico, effective in 1977.

La Paloma (Spanish: The Dove) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cameron County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,903 at the 2010 census, up from 354 at the 2000 census, when it was drawn to cover a much smaller area. By the 2020 census, the population further increased to 3,218. It is part of the Brownsville–Harlingen Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Relampago is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hidalgo County, Texas. The population was 132 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was named for the Relampago Ranch, a rancho started in 1856 by José María Mora and Thaddeus Rhodes. Relámpago is Spanish and Portuguese for "lightning flash." The town for some years has been a first stop on the so-called ferrocarril subterráneo for migrants.

Valle Vista Mall is a regional shopping mall located in Harlingen, Texas, off Interstate 2 (Expressway 83) at the intersection of Dixieland Road and Tyler Avenue. It has 651,000 square feet (60,500 m2) of gross leasable area. It is anchored by Big Lots, Dillard's, Gold's Gym, J. C. Penney, Urban Air, and Rack Room Shoes with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears. In 2017 Forever 21 closed its location for good, On October 15, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 142 stores nationwide., in 2019 Urban Air Trampoline Park replaced the former Forever 21.

Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets is a 578,000-square-foot (53,700 m2) shopping center located in Mercedes, Texas, located on Interstate 2 (Expressway 83). It is owned and managed by Simon Property Group, and part of Simon's Premium Outlets family of outlet malls. The shopping center has 140 stores.
