Goring-by-Sea, commonly referred to simply as Goring, is a neighbourhood of Worthing and former civil parish, now in Worthing district in West Sussex, England. It lies west of West Worthing, about 2.5 miles (4 km) west of Worthing town centre. Historically in Sussex, in the rape of Arundel, Goring has been part of the borough of Worthing since 1929. As of 2020 the average house price in the area was £321,694. This was £89,839 above the national average.

English Martyrs' Church is in Compton Avenue, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing, West Sussex, England. It is an active Roman Catholic parish church in the diocese of Arundel & Brighton and the Worthing deanery. Hand-painted by Gary Bevans over five and a half years, English Martyrs' Church has the world's only known reproduction of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling, which has been described as "a marvel" and "astonishing".

It serves the Worthing suburb of Goring and the neighbouring village of Ferring. It is also located between two education facilities, thus providing a method of transport for students of St. Oscar Romero Catholic School and Northbrook College's West Durrington campus, also known as University Centre Worthing. This station has a ticket office which is open for part of the day. There is a self-serve ticket machine on either platform at the station. All Southern trains are served by Class 377's.

St Oscar Romero Catholic School (formerly Chatsmore Catholic High School; formerly Blessed Robert Southwell High School) is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school located in the Goring-by-Sea area of Worthing, West Sussex, England.It is a voluntary aided school administered by West Sussex County Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. The school is named after Archbishop Óscar Romero.

The Southern Theatre Arts Centre (STAC) is a training venue for performers, technicians and production students, it is based in Durrington, West Sussex, near Worthing, West Sussex, England, about 15 miles from the city of Brighton & Hove. It is a division of Northbrook College and is affiliated with the University of Brighton.STAC has a range of Theatre Arts Courses from National Diplomas to Foundation Degrees and BA Hons. Its venue Northbrook Theatre regularly hosts touring companies from around the UK and Europe. Productions in recent years include Wild Party, Chess, The Blue Room, Angles in America, Metamorphosis and West. The theatre, which can seat 200 people, is also used for music gigs and open day conferences. In the past STAC worked closely with Prodigal Theatre & The Nightingale Theatre, the patron was Steven Berkoff. Many past pupils have gone on to work in TV & Film productions such has BBC's Inspector George Gently, Being Human, Britain's Next Top Model, Tracy Beaker Returns, Midsomer Murders, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Hollyoaks, Holby City, Batman Begins, 24: Live Another Day, The Inbetweeners Movie, Extras, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Theatre works include The Chichester Festival Theatre, West End, Broadway, Sydney Opera House, The National Theatre, Birmingham Stage Company, Connaught Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone. Brighton fringe, Southwark Playhouse.

Northbrook College is a further education and higher education college that is part of the Chichester College Group. It currently has three campuses: Broadwater Campus and West Durrington Campus in Worthing and Shoreham Airport Campus in Shoreham-by-Sea, although in 2024 it announced its intention to sell the 2.4-ha (5.9-acre) Broadwater Campus which would be closed in 2025, with learning consolidated across the West Durington site and Worthing College's site in Broadwater.It was founded in or before 1890 as the Worthing School of Art and Science.The college is the largest provider of higher education for the creative and cultural industries in West Sussex. It is also a significant provider of higher education in a variety of other work-related areas. The college also has contracts for apprenticeship training and adult and community learning, and provides courses in most work-related areas as well as those for personal development. The college's creative degrees, including fashion, photography and media in Worthing are validated by the University of the Arts London and its Motorsport courses in Shoreham are validated by the University of Brighton.

Durrington-on-Sea railway station is in Goring, a suburb of Worthing in the county of West Sussex. It is 12 miles 13 chains (19.6 km) down the line from Brighton. The station is operated by Southern. Durrington-on-Sea railway station lies about 1.3 miles (2.1 km) south of the Worthing suburb of Durrington and is situated close to the headquarters of West Sussex Primary Care NHS Trust and a large HM Revenue and Customs office. It was designed in the Modernist style by the architect to the Southern Railway, James Robb Scott and opened on 4 July 1937. The architecture and design of station has drawn criticism from locals as the "grimmest stop in the South". Owners (Network Rail) and operator (Southern), refute claims of problems and cite lack of central government funding to rebuild stations. Facilities at the station are limited and there are no toilets. There is a waiting room on platform 1, which opened in 2022.

RAF Durrington was a World War II ground-controlled interception (GCI) radar station in Durrington, West Sussex, a neighbourhood in Worthing in the United Kingdom. RAF Durrington was one of six radar stations built in coastal areas in 1941 to improve the radar capability of the Royal Air Force during night bombing raids by the Axis powers.
