West Bradford Township is a township that is located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 12,376 at the time of the 2010 census.

Chester County (Pennsylvania Dutch: Tscheschter Kaundi), colloquially referred to as Chesco, is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is located in the Delaware Valley region, located in the southeastern part of the state. As of the 2020 census, the population was 534,413, increasing by 7.1% from 498,886 in 2010. The county seat and most populated municipality is West Chester. Chester County was one of the three original Pennsylvania counties created by William Penn in 1682. It was named for Chester, England. Chester County is part of the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD Metropolitan Statistical Area. Along with southwest Delaware County, eastern Chester County is home to many communities that comprise part of the Philadelphia Main Line western suburbs of Philadelphia. As of 2020, the county had the highest median household income level in Pennsylvania, and the 35th-highest in the nation.

Thorndale is a census-designated place in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,407 at the 2010 census. Thorndale is the commercial and administrative center of Caln Township. The community's main street is U.S. Route 30 Business. Many of Thorndale's old houses fell into disrepair from the late 1990s to present and have been torn down and replaced with new businesses. Thorndale is historically notable for containing a summer house of U.S. President James Buchanan, which still stands and has been incorporated into a golf course and turned into a restaurant. The community contains the Thorndale Fire Station and Caln Elementary School, part of the Coatesville Area School District. Thorndale sits along SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line and is currently the last station stop on that line. It is also served by the SEPTA Route 135 bus.

Thorndale station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Thorndale, Pennsylvania. Located on South Bailey Road and East Lincoln Highway (U.S. 30 Business), it serves the Paoli/Thorndale Line. While Thorndale station is the terminus of SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line service, the tracks continue (with service by Amtrak), to points west, including Lancaster, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh. Amtrak does not stop at Thorndale. This station is 35.2 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station. In 2017, the average total weekday boardings at this station was 427, and the average total weekday alightings was 374.

County Bridge No. 124 is a historic stone arch bridge located in Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It spans Beaver Creek. It has three arch spans, each of which are 24 feet (7.3 m) long. The bridge was constructed in 1916 of squared ashlar.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Downingtown station is a commuter and intercity passenger rail station located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia at West Lancaster Avenue & Stuart Avenue in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. It is served by most Amtrak Keystone Service and SEPTA Paoli/Thorndale Line trains. Amtrak's Pennsylvanian does not stop here. In 2017, the average total SEPTA weekday boardings at this station was 291, and the average total SEPTA weekday alightings was 312.

Caln Township () is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 14,428 at the 2020 census. The township was founded by settlers from Calne, Wiltshire in England in 1714; the relationship between Calne and Wiltshire continues in the present since the two are sister cities. Caln is a township of the First Class, and the governing body is a Board of Commissioners. The township also owns Ingleside Golf Club and over 200 acres (0.81 km2) of green space and parks. Atop of a hill overlooking Coatesville and located in Caln, the historic Coatesville VA Medical Center (a major Veterans Administration hospital) provides care to approximately 20,000 veterans in the region annually. Brandywine Hospital, which resided in Caln Township, was abruptly closed in January 2022 by West Reading-based Tower Health after systemwide financial difficulties. The hospital primarily served northwestern Chester County. Caln Township is part of Coatesville Area School District (CASD). The western end of the township along U.S. Business 30 is sometimes referred to as the Village of Caln. Historically, there were places referred to as Reeceville (northwestern corner), Ingleside (between Caln and Thorndale), Bondsville (north of Thorndale), and Galagherville between Thorndale and Downingtown in the township. The names of these communities have since fallen out of usage, except for local road names and CASD’s Reeceville Elementary School.

West Caln Township is a township that is located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,014 at the time of the 2010 census.

Downingtown STEM Academy is a public high school and an IB World School in the Downingtown Area School District, located in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The school has a unique curriculum that prepares students for college education and careers in the STEM fields. A major focus in the courses offered at the Downingtown STEM Academy is inquiry and project-based learning, as well as the growth of 21st-century learning skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity). In the ninth and tenth grades, students take "pre-diploma" classes that prepare them for classes in the International Baccalaureate program. In the eleventh and twelfth grades, students take six classes in the International Baccalaureate and have the opportunity to participate in the IB Diploma Programme.The school became an International Baccalaureate school in January 2012. Students in the eleventh and twelfth grade can participate in the IB Diploma Programme to achieve an IB diploma, in addition to their diploma from the Downingtown Area School District. The school's enrollment is approximately 800 students. Being a smaller school, students are engaged in a more personalized learning environment. Admission into the school is required to attend. The school's laptop initiative provides each student with a computer. Technology is utilized as a tool that enhances learning.The former Downingtown Educational Center/Ninth Grade Center was renovated to become the Downingtown STEM Academy in Fall of 2011.As of December 11, 2013, the Downingtown STEM Academy was ranked as the top public high school in Pennsylvania, achieving a School Performance Profile score of 101.4, and in 2017 received a 104.0. In 2018, U.S. News & World Report ranked the Downingtown STEM Academy as the number one public high school in the state of Pennsylvania, and number thirty-four in the United States.

The Roger Hunt Mill is an historic, American grist mill complex that is located in Downingtown, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Clement Atkinson Memorial Hospital is a historic hospital building located at Coatesville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The hospital was founded in 1936 by Whittier C. Atkinson, the first African American physician in Chester County, who named the hospital after his father. It served the local African American population and remained in operation until 1978.The building contains five sections. The original section was the home of Dr. Atkinson. This section is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay red brick rowhouse dwelling in the Colonial Revival style. It had a one-story, eight-room, hospital wing at the rear of the dwelling, were built in 1932. A second story was added to the hospital wing in 1937. Later additions took place in 1955, 1962, and 1969. The hospital was converted to a community center and low-income apartments in 1991.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Caln Meeting House is a historic Quaker meeting house located at 901 Caln Meeting House Road, near Coatesville in Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1726, and is a one-story, tan fieldstone structure. It was enlarged to its present size in 1801.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Services are still held weekly at the meeting house. A graveyard is also held on the northern end of the building, with another sitting on the other side of PA 340. One third of the Caln Meeting House is used by the Old Caln Historical Society as a local history museum and to house archives, artifacts and other historical memorabilia.
