St. John's International Airport (IATA: YYT, ICAO: CYYT) is in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) northwest of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador and serves the St. John's metropolitan area and the Avalon Peninsula. The airport is part of the National Airports System, and is operated by St. John's International Airport Authority Inc.Designated as an international airport by Transport Canada it is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle aircraft with no more than 165 passengers. However, they can handle up to 450 if the aircraft is unloaded in stages.

The Stavanger Drive Shopping Area (also known as Cabot Square Power Centre) is a commercial district in the northeastern part of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Torbay Road and Stavanger Drive, just north of Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway or Outer Ring Road). The district first opened in 1995 with stores of Costco (then known as Price Club) and Zellers. As of 2015, the original area bordering Stavanger Drive has become almost entirely saturated with stores, and most further expansions are occurring to its northwest, around Hebron Way. It is accessible via two interchanges off Route 1, which are Exit 48 (Torbay Road) and Exit 49 (Aberdeen Avenue). The area is located close to St. John's International Airport.

Clovelly Trails is a neighbourhood located in the northeast end of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Clovelly Trails is a multi subdivision residential development; the area includes single-family homes, high-end homes and adult living complexes. Clovelly Trails is home to Clovelly Golf Course, the high-end homes in this area, that sell for around 3/4 of a million dollars, are located on the boundaries of the golf course. Most of the streets in the area are affiliated with war veterans. The neighbourhood also consists of the Stavanger Drive commercial district, which was the first big-box store development in St. John's. Since being developed in the late 1990s, the area has undergone tremendous growth with such businesses as Boston Pizza, Costco(which is now closed and is now located at 75 Danny Dr, St. John's, NL A1H 1A3), Dominion Supermarket, BestBuy, Wal-Mart, Old Navy and McDonald's.

The St. John's Hindu Temple is located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. In 1975 Hindus established a Hindu temple in Mount Pearl, Swami Chinmayananda donated a marble statue of Krishna which was installed by Swami Dayananda. The temple functioned as an independent organization with the name Chinmaya Mission St. John's.In 1995, a new temple was constructed in the east end of St. John's where most Hindus live, and subsequently it was renamed Hindu Temple St. John's Association. All major Hindu festivals are celebrated in this temple. The temple participates in several local ethno-cultural and community projects and events. Children perform a weekly puja on Sunday mornings, and the temple is regularly visited by other groups of school children.

Pippy Park Golf Club, is a public golf course located in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The facility contains two courses: Admiral's Green is an 18-hole championship course and Captain's Hill is a 9-hole course.

Wedgewood Park is a neighbourhood in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, located north of the city centre. A former town, Wedgewood Park was amalgamated into the city along with other areas, most notably the town Goulds, in 1991. Wedgewood Park lies in the Torbay Road, Highland Drive, Carrick Drive, and Newfoundland Drive area.

The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland, popularly referred to as the Marine Institute (MI) or simply Marine, is a post-secondary ocean and marine polytechnic located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland. The Marine Institute is considered the most comprehensive institution of its kind in North America, with unique facilities such as two full ships bridge simulators and the world's largest flume tank. It offers degrees, diplomas, certifications and industry training for the maritime sector.

Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located within a 10 minutes' drive from downtown St. John's preceding the Town of Torbay on the eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula.

Pippy Park is a 3,400-acre (14 km2) urban park located in the city of St. John's, Newfoundland. The park is a popular camping, hiking and recreational park within the city, and incorporates numerous groomed and wilderness-style hiking/skiing trails, a miniature golf course, a 9-hole and an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, and a public access trailer park with limited tent camping facilities. Trails within the park link to the Grand Concourse walking trails. Pippy Park incorporates the main campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland and the Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden at Oxen Pond, as well as the Ridge Road campus of the Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland and the Ridge Road and Prince Philip Drive campuses of the College of the North Atlantic. The park also includes the Confederation Building complex, which houses the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly and numerous offices of the Provincial Government.The park is administered by the C. A. Pippy Park Commission, a Crown Corporation of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The eight members of the commission include representatives of the Provincial Government, the University, the City of St. John's, the Pippy family, and landowners and residents within the park boundaries. Pippy Park is also home to the Fluvarium, an environmental education centre which offers a cross section view of Nagle's Hill Brook. The Fluvarium is not an aquarium in that none of the fish are in captivity - the building offers an underwater view of a natural river. The word Fluvarium comes from the Latin Fluvius (flowing water) and means literally "windows on a stream."

The Confederation Building serves as the home of the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly. It is located on Confederation Hill overlooking Newfoundland and Labrador's capital city, St. John's. The brick- and concrete-clad building has 11 stories and is 64 metres (210 ft) tall. It was completed in 1960 at a cost of $9 million to replace the Colonial Building. A lantern is located at the top of the copper roof of the central tower and acts as a beacon when turned on at night.In 1982, construction began on the West Block extension, a modern 7-storey structure, which is a six-storey building, with a gross floor area of 34,838 square metres (374,990 sq ft). The original building is now considered the East Block of the Confederation Building. A third building on the legislature campus is the Service Building Annex a two-storey building housing a day care centre and garage for some provincial government vehicles.

The Suncore Energy Fluvarium, or simply The Fluvarium (meaning 'windows on a stream'), is a public centre for environmental education, located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and operated by the Quidi Vidi/Rennie's River Development Foundation. The lowest level of the Fluvarium features an underwater view of Nagle's Hill Brook through nine large viewing windows. Visitors can observe brown trout and salmon living in their natural habitat. The center also has a series of natural water aquariums and terrariums that showcase fish and amphibian species found throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Masjid-an-Noor is the first, and currently only, mosque in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The mosque is located in the provincial capital of St. John's, and was built in 1990 by the Muslim Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. A large proportion of the congregation are students or faculty at the Memorial University of Newfoundland.A 2016 Master's degree thesis has studied the mosque and the role of five-times-daily prayer in the lives of Muslims who have immigrated to Newfoundland.It is the only mosque in the province and, as such, has been turned to for reaction to events involving Islam and mosques in the news, such as the March 2019 shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand; in Newfoundland, Masjid-an-Noor held memorial services. An event at St. John's Farmers Market was held to express support for Newfoundland Muslims; some came to the event after hearing of it on CBC News. Messages of support were also delivered to the mosque itself. It is the most eastern mosque in Canada.
