Maxwell Park railway station is a railway station in Pollokshields area of Glasgow, Scotland, adjacent to the park of the same name. The station is managed by ScotRail and is located on the Cathcart Circle Line, which has been electrified since 1962 by British Railways.

Titwood is a cricket ground in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, Scotland. It is the home of the Clydesdale Cricket Club and is one of four international grounds in Scotland approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as a home venue for the Scotland national cricket team. Titwood was approved by the ICC in May 2007 for the hosting of One-Day International (ODI) matches. It became the fourth Scottish ground to be granted ODI status, as it was seen as a hub of cricket in Scotland, along with the Grange, Aberdeenshire's Mannofield and Ayr's New Cambusdoon.The first of these, an 'offshore international' between India and Pakistan in July 2007 was a victim of the wet weather. The second game was played in August the same year, was between Scotland and India. In January 2014, Titwood hosted Scotland’s last three Clydesdale Bank 40 home group games.

Crossmyloof railway station is a railway station serving the area of Crossmyloof in Glasgow, Scotland, located 1 mile 60 chains (2.8 km) from Glasgow Central. The station is managed by ScotRail and is served by trains on the Glasgow South Western Line. The overline station building was removed during the late 1990s. The overbridge (Titwood Road) was rebuilt during 2006. On 6 October 2012, a Highland cow escaped the nearby Pollok Country Park and walked the rail line to this station, where it was captured and returned.

The Pollokshields Burgh Hall is a municipal building at the edge of Maxwell Park, Glasgow, Scotland. The burgh hall, which was briefly the headquarters of Pollokshields Burgh Council, is a Category A listed building.

Craigholme School was a private school for girls situated in the Pollokshields area of the South Side of Glasgow, Scotland. It was founded in 1894 and closed in 2020.

Hutchesons' Grammar School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 3–18 in Glasgow, Scotland. It was founded as Hutchesons' Boys' Grammar School by George Hutcheson and Thomas Hutcheson in 1641. Prospective pupils must sit an entrance test and interview to gain admission. The Boys' and Girls' schools amalgamated in 1976, at the grounds where the Boys' school had moved to almost two decades prior to form the current senior school. The Girls' school campus became the junior school and in 1994, a new pre-school block at the junior school was constructed. The school now has around 1,300 pupils across its Pre-school, Junior and Senior Schools. In 2019, the school had the second-highest exam results in Scotland.The School is governed by Hutchesons' Educational Trust. The Rector is Colin Gambles.

Shawlands railway station is a railway station serving Shawlands, a suburb of Glasgow, Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and is located on the Cathcart Circle Line. It opened in April 1894, when the original line to Cathcart via Queens Park was extended in a loop back towards Glasgow Central. The Cathcart Circle Line has been electrified since 1962 under British Railways.

Pollokshields (Scottish Gaelic: Buthan Phollaig, Scots: Powkshiels) is an area in the Southside of Glasgow, Scotland. Its modern boundaries are largely man-made, being formed by the M77 motorway to the west and northwest with the open land of Pollok Country Park and the Dumbreck neighbourhood beyond, by the Inverclyde Line railway and other branches which separate its territory from the largely industrial areas of Kinning Park, Kingston and Port Eglinton, and by the Glasgow South Western Line running from the east to south, bordering Govanhill, Strathbungo, Crossmyloof and Shawlands residential areas. There is also a suburban railway running through the area. Pollokshields is a conservation area which was developed in Victorian times according to a plan promoted by the original landowners, the Stirling-Maxwells of Pollok, whose association with the area goes as far back as 1270. The core of the area was constructed in two distinct and contrasting styles, with the western part consisting mainly of large villas with gardens along sweeping, undulating tree-lined boulevards, whereas the eastern part (once a separate burgh) is formed by three-storey sandstone tenements typical of many parts of the city from the era, arranged in a tight grid of streets on relatively flat ground.

Haggs Castle is a 16th-century tower house, located in the neighbourhood of Pollokshields, in Glasgow, Scotland. The richly decorated building was restored in the 19th century, and today is once more occupied as a residence.

Pollokshaws East railway station is a railway station in Glasgow, Scotland, serving parts of the Pollokshaws, Auldhouse, Newlands and Shawlands neighbourhoods of the city. The station is managed by ScotRail and is located on the Cathcart Circle Line.

Pollok Football Club is a Scottish football club based in Newlands in the southside of the city of Glasgow. The club competes in the West of Scotland Football League and are one of the biggest football clubs operating in Scottish non-league football, regularly attracting crowds of around 700. Pollok play at Newlandsfield Park and wear black and white stripes. Their traditional rivals are Arthurlie of Barrhead.
