Maisonneuve Market (French: Marché Maisonneuve) is a public market in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 4445 Ontario Street East in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. It is bordered by Ontario Street to the south, William-David Street to the east, Place Gennevilliers Laliberté to the west and north. It can be reached from Pie-IX and Viau stations on the Montreal Metro's Green Line. The original market was built in 1912 according to plans by architect Marius Dufresne. The present building opened in 1995, replacing umbrella shelters installed in 1980.

The Les petits baigneurs is a monument in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Designed by Alfred Laliberté, it was unveiled in 1916 at the entrance to the Maisonneuve public baths in Montreal. The monument was later restored in 1992. It is on Morgan Avenue, close to the La Fermière monument.

The district is located within Montreal, and its territory mostly covers the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, and also parts of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Ville-Marie and Le Plateau-Mont-Royal boroughs. It is bordered to the east by the Canadian National Railway yard, to the south by the Saint Lawrence River, to the north by Rachel and Sherbrooke Streets and to the west by Frontenac Street. It was created for the 1989 election from parts of Maisonneuve and Sainte-Marie electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged.

Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (French pronunciation: [ɔʃlaɡa mɛzɔ̃nœv]) is a neighbourhood in Montreal, Canada, situated in the east end of the island, generally to the south of the city's Olympic Stadium and east of downtown. Historically a poor neighbourhood, it has experienced significant change and gentrification in recent years.

Pie-IX Boulevard (French: boulevard Pie-IX, pronounced [piˈnœf] in both English and French), named after Pope Pius IX, is a major boulevard in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It runs for roughly 11 km (6.8 mi) in a northwest–southeast direction between Henri Bourassa Boulevard and Notre-Dame East. Pie-IX Boulevard runs past the Montreal Botanical Gardens and the Olympic Stadium. The boulevard forms part of Quebec Route 125. It traverses the boroughs of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension and Montréal-Nord.

École secondaire Eulalie-Durocher is a francophone secondary public mixed school located in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough in Montreal. Part of the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM), it was originally in the catholic School board Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal (CECM) before the 1998 reorganization of School boards from religious communities into linguistic communities in Quebec. In 2019, the school has 748 students.

Hochelaga—Maisonneuve (formerly known as Maisonneuve) was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1979 to 2004. It was created in 1976 as "Maisonneuve" riding from parts of Hochelaga, Lafontaine and Maisonneuve—Rosemont ridings. It was renamed "Hochelaga—Maisonneuve" in 1978. The riding was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into Hochelaga, Honoré-Mercier and La Pointe-de-l'Île ridings.

Viauville is a neighbourhood in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Established in 1892 as a result of an urban plan made by Charles-Théodore Viau and the former city of Maisonneuve, and part of the aforementioned city, Viauville never obtained municipality status.Viauville is named for Charles-Théodore Viau, a member of the paroisse Saint-Clément and founder of the biscuiterie Viau. The area was home to Canadian Vickers Maisonville Shipyards, now Port of Montreal berths.

It was created for the 1912 election from part of Hochelaga electoral district. Its final election was in 1919. It was redistributed in the 1923 election into the electoral districts of Montreal–Saint-Henri and Montréal-Verdun, with small parts going to Montréal–Saint-Georges and Montréal–Sainte-Anne.

Viau station is a Montreal Metro station in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Green Line. It is in the district of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. The station opened on June 6, 1976, as part of the extension of the Green Line to Honoré-Beaugrand station, in time for the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Hochelaga was a former provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1908. It disappeared in the 1912 election and was redistributed into Laval, Maisonneuve, Montréal-Dorion, Montréal-Laurier, Montréal-Hochelaga, Westmount, and Jacques-Cartier, with small parts going to Montréal–Saint-Georges and Montréal–Sainte-Marie. It was named after the former aboriginal village of Hochelaga on the site where Montreal now stands. The village existed when the explorer Jacques Cartier discovered territories that became New France.

Maurice Richard Arena (French: Aréna Maurice-Richard) is a 4,750-seat multi-purpose arena at Olympic Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was built in 1962. It is named in honour of Maurice Richard. The rink was renovated in 1994, the arena includes a multi-media exhibition on the life of the Montreal Canadiens great. Entrance to the arena is free and there is a souvenir shop onsite. Formerly home to the Montreal Rocket, the ice rink is also used for training by speed and figure skaters. It can host corporate events, with banquet seating up to 2000. The arena also hosted boxing and wrestling events at the 1976 Summer Olympics. The building is located on the same massive city block that is home to Olympic Stadium and Saputo Stadium. It is situated in the south east corner, next to the Biodome (formerly the cycling Velodrome) and the Olympic Stadium. The arena still hosts fight cards and concerts, and hosted the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
