Braunshardt Airfield

Worfelden is a village in the municipality of Büttelborn, which is located in the triangle formed by the cities of Frankfurt, Mainz and Darmstadt, within the Rhine-Main region.

The Weiterstadt prison bombing occurred on 27 March 1993, when the Red Army Faction (RAF) Command Katharina Hammerschmidt bombed and destroyed a newly built prison in Weiterstadt, near Frankfurt am Main in Germany. It was the RAF's "last anticapitalist attack" before it dissolved. Nobody was harmed in the explosion of the empty prison. Estimates of damage varied widely. Perpetrators were linked 14 years later through DNA evidence in skimasks left behind. In February 2024 Daniela Klette, one of the 4 perpetrators was arrested.

Griesheim (German pronunciation: [ˈɡʁiːsˌhaɪ̯m] ) is a town in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in Hesse, Germany. It's situated west of Darmstadt. The Dagger Complex, which emerged as the most important NSA headquarter in Europe in the wake of the Global surveillance disclosures, brought Griesheim to public attention in 2013.

Groß Gerau station is located approximately 500 metres north of the centre of the town of Groß-Gerau in the German state of Hesse on the Rhine-Main Railway, running from Wiesbaden and Mainz to Darmstadt and Aschaffenburg. A curve branches off near the station connecting to the nearby Groß-Gerau-Dornberg station on the Mannheim–Frankfurt railway. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. The station name has no hyphen unlike the town it is in, following a Prussian government order of 1910, which applied because of Prussian finance for the line, even though the station was in the Grand Duchy of Hesse.

The Dagger Complex is a US military base in Darmstadt (Germany), close to Griesheim and located at the Eberstädter Weg, south of the August-Euler-Airfield. The complex is under US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) command on behalf of the US National Security Agency (NSA) and is officially known as Subunit 1 operated by USMC G Company. After a large basement expansion at the complex in 2002 it hosted an important SIGINT processing, analysis and reporting center.As the entire SIGINT unit relocated to the Lucius D.Clay Barracks at Wiesbaden in 2016 as part of the new Information Processing Center (IPC) which is part of the US Consolidated Intelligence Center (CIC), which was brought into operation in the 2010s, the status of the Dagger complex has been changed into a military datacenter. All processing, analysis and reporting activities now take place in Wiesbaden.

Riedstadt, with its municipal area of 73.76 km² is Groß-Gerau district's biggest town by land area. It lies in Hesse, Germany, about 12 km southwest of Darmstadt.

Nuur-ud-Din Mosque (English: Mosque of the Light of Religion) in Darmstadt, Germany is run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The foundation stone was laid in May 2002 and was inaugurated in August 2003 by 5th Caliph of the Messiah, Mirza Masroor Ahmad. The mosque is named after 1st Caliph of the Messiah, Hakeem Noor-ud-Din.
