Lake Waukewan is a 928-acre (3.76 km2) water body located in Belknap County in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, United States, in the towns of Meredith and New Hampton. The town of Center Harbor occupies part of the lake's northern shoreline. The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery, with observed species including rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and white perch. It supplies drinking water for the town of Meredith from an inlet near the south end of the lake.The water level is controlled by the Dam Bureau of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. As of 2013, it is maintained at 540.0 feet (164.6 m) above sea level in the summer, and 538.5 feet (164.1 m) the rest of the year.Water from Lake Waukewan flows into Lake Winnipesaukee, with a 40-foot (12 m) drop in elevation. The water rights to the natural Measly Pond Brook (a.k.a. Corliss Brook) was purchased by John Jenness in 1795, and used to power a gristmill and sawmill in Meredith Village, though it was not the best local waterpower source. John Bond Swasey redirected the flow into a 600-foot canal and consolidated waterfall (construction 1816-1818) which greatly improved the amount of waterpower available, allowing further industrialization of the village. Water from Lake Wicwas flows south to Lake Winnisquam, then to the Winnipesaukee River, and ultimately to the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warm-water fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and black crappie.Longstanding disagreement about how to spell the name of the lake led locals in 2019 to request that the state officially designate it as "Wicwas" without a K. The requested spelling was adopted by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names in November 2019.

The Meredith Public Library is located at 91 Main Street in Meredith, New Hampshire. It is housed in a handsome brick Classical Revival structure designed by George Swan and built in 1900-01, with a major expansion in 1985. It was a gift from Benjamin Smith as a memorial to his parents, and is known as the Benjamin M. Smith Memorial Library. The building, one of the town's most architecturally sophisticated buildings, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Inter-Lakes Middle High School is a combined middle school and high school in Meredith, New Hampshire. The school serves the towns of Meredith, Center Harbor, and Sandwich. The school competes in the NHIAA Division 3, and has teams in boys' and girls' cross-country skiing, soccer, cross-country track, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, and outdoor track and field. Girls' teams are offered in softball and volleyball, while boys' teams are offered in baseball, football, ice hockey, and golf. The Inter-Lakes math team competes in the NH Small School Division and the Lakes Region Math League. In 2019 the math team won the league championship and were third in the state. The Inter-Lakes robotics team, The Lakerbots, competed in the FRC New England District Championships in 2021. Inter-Lakes High School is also home to Inter-Lakes Community Auditorium, which hosts Inter-Lakes Summer Theater during the summer months.

Pemigewasset Lake is a 249-acre (101 ha) water body located in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire in the United States. The lake straddles the border between the towns of New Hampton and Meredith, both in Belknap County. Outflow from the lake travels down Harper Brook to the Pemigewasset River, a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine.The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and black crappie.

Funspot is an arcade which features one of the largest collections of early-1970s to late-2000s games in the world. It is located in the village of Weirs Beach in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. Founded in 1952 by Bob Lawton, Funspot includes over 600 video games (both retro and modern), pinball machines, and ticket redemption machines; an indoor miniature golf course; 20-lane ten-pin and candlepin bowling; cash bingo; a restaurant; a tavern; an ice cream stand; kiddie rides; and several other attractions on its grounds. Funspot was officially named the "Largest Arcade in the World" by Guinness World Records at the 10th Annual International Classic Video Game and Pinball Tournament, held from May 29 through June 1, 2008.Originally called the Weirs Sports Center, and located across the street from the Weirs Beach boardwalk, Funspot moved in 1964 to its current home on Route 3. There are 300 games from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s on the floor at any one time in the American Classic Arcade Museum section of Funspot, with the remaining 100 being scattered throughout the arcade. Funspot is home to The American Classic Arcade Museum, a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on the arcade's third floor, which seeks to preserve the history of coin-operated arcade games.

White Oak Pond is a 295-acre (1.19 km2) water body in Grafton County in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Holderness. Water from White Oak Pond flows north to Squam Lake and is part of the Pemigewasset River watershed.

The Shepard Hill Historic District encompasses an enclave of summer retreat properties in Holderness, New Hampshire. Centered on a stretch of Shepard Hill Road east of Holderness center, the area was one of the first to be developed as a summer estate area in the vicinity of Squam Lake, which Shepard Hill provided expansive views of. It includes 17 historic summer houses, built between 1870 and 1921, and a chapel. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
