Meredith Village, the commercial center of the town, lies long the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, and several other large lakes lie partially or completely within the town borders. It is home to the Stonedam Island Natural Area and the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, and it serves as one of the ports of call for the MS Mount Washington. Meredith Village, where 2,527 people resided at the 2020 census, is defined as the Meredith census-designated place, and is located at the junction of U.S. Route 3 and New Hampshire Route 25 at the head of Meredith Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Inter-Lakes Middle High School is a combined middle school and high school in Meredith, New Hampshire. The school serves the towns of Meredith, Center Harbor, and Sandwich. The school competes in the NHIAA Division 3, and has teams in boys' and girls' cross-country skiing, soccer, cross-country track, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, and outdoor track and field. Girls' teams are offered in softball and volleyball, while boys' teams are offered in baseball, football, ice hockey, and golf. The Inter-Lakes math team competes in the NH Small School Division and the Lakes Region Math League. In 2019 the math team won the league championship and were third in the state. The Inter-Lakes robotics team, The Lakerbots, competed in the FRC New England District Championships in 2021. Inter-Lakes High School is also home to Inter-Lakes Community Auditorium, which hosts Inter-Lakes Summer Theater during the summer months.

Lake Waukewan is a 928-acre (3.76 km2) water body located in Belknap County in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, United States, in the towns of Meredith and New Hampton. The town of Center Harbor occupies part of the lake's northern shoreline. The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery, with observed species including rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and white perch. It supplies drinking water for the town of Meredith from an inlet near the south end of the lake.The water level is controlled by the Dam Bureau of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. As of 2013, it is maintained at 540.0 feet (164.6 m) above sea level in the summer, and 538.5 feet (164.1 m) the rest of the year.Water from Lake Waukewan flows into Lake Winnipesaukee, with a 40-foot (12 m) drop in elevation. The water rights to the natural Measly Pond Brook (a.k.a. Corliss Brook) was purchased by John Jenness in 1795, and used to power a gristmill and sawmill in Meredith Village, though it was not the best local waterpower source. John Bond Swasey redirected the flow into a 600-foot canal and consolidated waterfall (construction 1816-1818) which greatly improved the amount of waterpower available, allowing further industrialization of the village. The First Free Will Baptist Church in Meredith is a historic church building at 61 Winona Road in Meredith, New Hampshire, United States. Built about 1802 and remodeled in 1848, it is a good example of a mid-19th century vernacular Greek Revival rural church. It is now a museum called the Pottle Meeting House, managed by the local historical society. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Funspot is an arcade which features one of the largest collections of early-1970s to late-2000s games in the world. It is located in the village of Weirs Beach in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. Founded in 1952 by Bob Lawton, Funspot includes over 600 video games (both retro and modern), pinball machines, and ticket redemption machines; an indoor miniature golf course; 20-lane ten-pin and candlepin bowling; cash bingo; a restaurant; a tavern; an ice cream stand; kiddie rides; and several other attractions on its grounds. Funspot was officially named the "Largest Arcade in the World" by Guinness World Records at the 10th Annual International Classic Video Game and Pinball Tournament, held from May 29 through June 1, 2008.Originally called the Weirs Sports Center, and located across the street from the Weirs Beach boardwalk, Funspot moved in 1964 to its current home on Route 3. There are 300 games from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s on the floor at any one time in the American Classic Arcade Museum section of Funspot, with the remaining 100 being scattered throughout the arcade. Funspot is home to The American Classic Arcade Museum, a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on the arcade's third floor, which seeks to preserve the history of coin-operated arcade games.

WWLK-FM (101.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to Meredith, New Hampshire, and serving the Lakes Region. The station broadcasts a soft adult contemporary radio format and is owned by Dirk Nadon, through licensee Lakes Media, LLC. The studios and offices are on Church Street in Concord, New Hampshire.WWLK-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is on Pickerel Pond Road at Parade Road in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Laconia Motorcycle Week is an annual motorcycle rally held in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. The rally originated as a motorcycle Gypsy tour in 1916 as, the New Hampshire Lakes Region became a popular riding destination for early motorcycle enthusiasts from New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Montreal. The popularity of the rally led to the formation of the Loudon Classic motorcycle race in 1934 which, became one of the most prestigious races in American motorcycle racing, second only to the Daytona 200. The scheduled events included races, shows and a motorcycle hill climb competition. The rally traditionally takes place over nine days in June, always the 2nd and 3rd full weekend. The rally was the largest annual gathering of North American motorcyclists until it was overtaken by the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally during the 1970s.

Weirs Beach is an area within the northern part of the city of Laconia in Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located on the southern shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. The cruise ship Mount Washington terminates there. It is a popular destination of bikers during Motorcycle Week every June. Weirs Beach, or "The Weirs" as it is referred to by locals, is named for a wide, sandy, public beach on Lake Winnipesaukee. Adjacent to the beach and comprising the center of the village are a boulevard and boardwalk that run along a quarter mile stretch of Lakeside Ave. The main summer port of the Winnipesaukee Flagship Company's MS Mount Washington is located on the boulevard. A large public dock is also evident at this popular stop for boaters on Lake Winnipesaukee. On the opposite side of the street are several seasonal arcades and vendors that have been located there for many years. The Winnipesaukee Pier juts out into the lake from the main boulevard. The pier was constructed in 1925 and was a bustling spot for many years attracting many of the most famous big band groups of the time.The Weirs Beach area contains the Winnipesaukee Playhouse, Funspot, Mount Washington Cruises, the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, the Weirs Drive-In Theater, several other attractions, and various motels, cottage complexes, and condominiums. There are four marinas in the village for boat rentals, sales, storage, and maintenance. Weirs Beach hosts a regular summer concert series and is the traditional focal point of Laconia Motorcycle Week.

Established in 1982, Immaculate Conception Apostolic School (ICAS) was a private Roman Catholic boarding school for boys in grades seven through twelve. It was located within the Diocese of Manchester and run by the Legionaries of Christ, a religious congregation of the Roman Catholic Church. The school buildings still stand overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee in the central New Hampshire town of Center Harbor. It served approximately 130 students at its heyday. It closed permanently in June 2015.

The New Hampshire Veterans' Association Historic District encompasses a large cluster of late 19th-century summer resort properties in the Weirs Beach area of Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. The district is a nearly 8-acre (3.2 ha) area developed by the New Hampshire Veterans' Association, which was formed to support summer reunions of veterans of the American Civil War. Over the following decades the group expanded its range to encompass veterans from all of the United States' war efforts. The architecture of the resort area the association developed is distinctive, as the resort houses were built to accommodate entire regiments. The district includes 18 buildings, five of which front on Lakeside Avenue and have expansive views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Weirs Beach area. Most of the remaining buildings are located on Veterans Avenue, which runs roughly parallel to, and behind, Lakeside Avenue. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The New Hampshire Veterans' Association was founded in 1875, and began holding reunions at Weirs Beach the following year. These were held on land owned by the Concord and Montreal Railroad (later the Boston and Maine), which was only purchased by the association in 1924. From the mid-1880s into the 1890s regimental organizations built predominantly Queen Anne-styled buildings to quarter the reunion attendees and to facilitate their activities.The association's land also has archaeological importance. It encompasses a portion of what was once the Native American village of Aquadoctan, one of the largest settlements in the state with a long prehistoric and historic record. Areas adjacent to this property are also listed on the National Register for their archaeological significance.

Center Harbor is a town in Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 1,040. It is situated between Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake.
