Hon-komagome Station (本駒込駅, Hon-komagome-eki) is a subway station on the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro. It is numbered "N-13".

Kisshō-ji, also Kichijō-ji (吉祥寺, not to be confused with Kichijōji, the Tokyo neighbourhood) is a Buddhist Temple located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1458, during the Muromachi period. In 1592, the "Sendan-Rin" School for Buddhist monks was founded in the precincts of the temple. In 1905, the Sendan-Rin School was renamed Soto-shu University; in 1925 Soto-shu University became Komazawa University. The temple is where Enomoto Takeaki was buried in 1908 at the age of 72.

Isenoumi stable (伊勢ノ海部屋, Isenoumi-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Tokitsukaze ichimon or group of stables. Its current head coach is former maegashira Kitakachidoki. As of January 2022 it had 12 wrestlers.

The Koishikawa Botanical Garden (小石川植物園, Koishikawa Shokubutsuen, 40 acres, 16 hectares) is a botanical garden with an arboretum operated by the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Science. They are located at 3-7-1 Hakusan, Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan, and open daily except Mondays; an admission fee is charged.

Bunkyō (文京区, Bunkyō-ku) is a special ward located in Tokyo, Japan. Situated in the middle of the ward area, Bunkyō is a residential and educational center. Beginning in the Meiji period, literati like Natsume Sōseki, as well as scholars and politicians have lived there. Bunkyō is home to the Tokyo Dome, Judo's Kōdōkan, and the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus. Bunkyō has a sister-city relationship with Kaiserslautern in the Rhineland-Palatinate of Germany.It was formed in 1947 as a merger of Hongo and Koishikawa wards following Tokyo City's transformation into Tokyo Metropolis. The modern Bunkyo ward exhibits contrasting Shitamachi and Yamanote geographical and cultural division. The Nezu and Sendagi neighborhoods in the ward's eastern corner is attached to the Shitamachi area in Ueno with more traditional Japanese atmosphere. On the other hand, the remaining areas of the ward typically represent Yamanote districts.As of May 1, 2015, the ward has a population of 217,743 (including about 6,500 foreign residents), and a population density of 19,290 persons per km². The total area is 11.29 km².

The campus is located in the Bunkyō district of Tokyo, Japan. It is a combined junior high school (students study for 3 years) and senior high school (also 3 years).

Sengoku Station (千石駅, Sengoku eki) is a subway station on the Toei Mita Line in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei). It is numbered "I-14"

Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya High School (東京都立日比谷高等学校, Tōkyō Toritsu Hibiya Kōtōgakkō) is a Japanese high school founded in 1878 as the Tokyo First Middle School or Tokyo First Junior High School (東京府立第一中学校, Tōkyō Furitsu Daiichi Chūgakkō). It was well known in the 1950s and 1960s for the large proportion of graduates who gained admission to the prestigious University of Tokyo; though it suffered a decline in the 1970s, as of 2005 it was once again being referred to as the "best public high school in Japan". Although Japanese law prohibits the hiring of non-Japanese-citizens as teachers, there's one full-time Russian native speaker teacher.

Bunkyo Gakuin College (文京学院短期大学, Bunkyo Gakuin Tanki Daigaku) is a private junior college in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan. It was set up as a women's junior college in 1963, and became coeducational in 2006. After a new schoolhouse had been built to Ōi, Saitama (at present Fujimino, Saitama), it became three systems of the subject in 1982. It became a single department junior college again in April 1997.

The Tōyō Bunko (東洋文庫), or "Oriental Library", is Japan's largest Asian studies library and one of the world's five largest, located in Tokyo. It also functions as a research institute dedicated to the study of Asian history and culture. It has greatly contributed to the development of Asian Studies through the acquisition of books and other source materials as well as the publication of research by Japanese scholars. Presently, the library contains approximately 950,000 volumes which are cataloged linguistically according to Asian, Western and Japanese language materials.

Bunkyo Gakuin University (文京学院大学, Bunkyō Gakuin Daigaku) is a coeducational university located in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan, near the University of Tokyo. Bunkyo Gakuin University was founded in April 1991 in Kamekubo, Ōimachi, Iruma, Saitama by Ishiko Shimada. In 2001, it opened the Faculty of Foreign Studies on what had been the Tokyo campus of Bunkyo Women's College (文京女子短期大学). There is another campus located northwest of Tokyo in Fujimino, Saitama. The university was originally called Bunkyo Women's University (文京女子大学). It was renamed Bunkyo Gakuin University in 2002 and became coeducational in 2005. The current president of Bunkyo University is Akiko Shimada. One of the unique features of the university is its "Chat Lounge", where students can practice their conversational language skills free of charge. Two "chat partners" staff the English facility from Monday to Friday. The Chinese Chat Lounge space, staffed by one native Chinese speaker, is located next to the English Chat Lounge space and open in the afternoon. The university also has three student dormitories in Hongo, Nishikata, and Fujimino, a dormitory for foreign exchange students next to the Hongo campus, a junior and senior girls' high school in Komagome, Tokyo, and a kindergarten across the street from the Hongo campus. Bunkyo Gakuin University celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2009.
