It flows from minor tributaries on the moors above Watersheddles Reservoir down the Worth Valley to Haworth, where it is joined by Bridgehouse Beck which flows from Oxenhope. Thwaites railway station was a railway station located just east of Keighley, West Riding of Yorkshire, on the Midland Railway line through the Aire Valley between Keighley and Shipley. It opened to traffic in 1892 and closed 17 years later in 1909 due to poor patronage.

Dalton Mills is a 19th century Grade II* Victorian former textile mill located in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. It was roughly 45,681 sq ft (4,243.9 m2) in size. Previously used as a set for Peaky Blinders, it was once claimed to be the largest textile mill in Yorkshire, massing over 2,000 employees. The internal parts of the building were destroyed by a large fire that broke out on 3 March 2022.

Bingley St. Ives, or St. Ives Estate is a 550-acre (2.2 km2) country park and former estate between Bingley and Harden in West Yorkshire, England now owned by Bradford Council. The park has Grade II listing in the English Heritage National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Interest. The park has been given Accredited Country Park status by Natural England.As well as being a public country park the property is also used by Bingley St Ives Golf Club, the Sports Turf Research Institute, Bradford Independent Care Group, Bingley Angling Club, and Aire Valley Archers. Some 300,000 people per year visit the country park.

Crossflatts is a ribbon development in Airedale along the old route of the A650 road between Bingley and Keighley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The opening of the Aire Valley Trunk road in 2004 has seen a reduction of 51% of traffic through the village.It is served by Crossflatts railway station on the Airedale Line connecting Skipton with Bradford and Leeds. This small village adjoins Bingley at the famous Five Rise Locks. Crossflatts is home to a number of local businesses, including The Royal Hotel (pub), Ryshworth Social Club, Crossflatts Cricket Club, Stuart Prices' butchers, as well as takeaway establishments, a chemist, a post office, a funeral parlour, a music shop and a church.Crossflatts is also the home of UK Asset Resolution Ltd (UKAR), and Computershare, responsible for administering all remaining old NRAM and Bradford & Bingley mortgages in the UK.

Crossflatts railway station serves the Crossflatts area of Bingley, north of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. The station is on the Airedale Line, 14.5 miles (23 km) north west of Leeds and 6.5 miles (10 km) north west of Bradford Forster Square. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Northern. The station was opened on 17 May 1982 at a cost of £78,000. It was the first of the eighties-era stations on the Airedale Line to be opened and is the only one to be built by British Rail on an entirely new site (the others - such as Saltaire and Frizinghall - had all previously been closed in 1965 as part of the Beeching cuts). It is used heavily during school term time due to its proximity to Bingley Grammar School.
