The Pigeon Forge Police Department, sometimes referred to as "PFPD", is the primary law enforcement organization serving Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in the United States. According to its website, "applying technology to law enforcement has been a primary goal of the Pigeon Forge Police Department, second only to the application of the community policing philosophy." In addition to the department's publicized application of technology, the police department has specialized units and organization, which is notable considering the city of Pigeon Forge only has approximately 5,000 residents. The department is notable among police departments in Tennessee for having a Tactical Response Unit, a type of SWAT rescue team that is typically found in police departments of larger cities. The police run Citizen Police Academy is noteworthy. The Chief of Police was Jack H. Baldwin. Chief Baldwin has announced his retirement effective February 2, 2018 after 42 years in office. He was replaced by Richard Catlett.

Yama-Con is an annual three-day anime convention with multigenre elements held during November/December at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Yama-Con's name comes from the Japanese word for mountain, "Yama."

Alcatraz East is a privately owned for-profit crime museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Opened in 2016, it was formerly operated as the National Museum of Crime and Punishment in Washington, D.C. The museum gives a behind-the-scenes look at crime history in America. It was created and built by attorney John Morgan and chief operating officer Janine Vaccarello. Alcatraz East is 24,000 square feet, two stories, and is themed as a 19th-century prison inspired by the infamous Alcatraz island prison in San Francisco. Alcatraz East includes interactive displays and artifacts that cover criminal intent, criminal profiles, the penal system, victims' stories, law enforcement, crime prevention, forensic science, and the US justice system. The historical area of the museum displays how crimes were committed, cases were solved, and how jury members came to an agreement on final sentencing. Anecdotes and facts about the background and behaviors of infamous prisoners are also a part of the museum. There are 20 different exhibit areas to explore that cover five themes; the history of American crime, the consequences of crime, crime scene investigation, crime fighting, and pop culture. Authentic pieces used as evidence in well-known criminal cases, and interactive exhibits and activities, are on display. A CSI lab, safe-cracking, a simulated shooting range, DUI interactive safety training, and digital fingerprinting are some of the activities visitors can participate in. Artifacts on display include John Dillinger's Essex-Terraplane, Al Capone's rosary, Ted Bundy's Volkswagen Beetle and the Ford Bronco from the O. J. Simpson murder case, an FBI polygraph machine, Al Pacino's sub-machine gun from the movie Scarface, items related to the 2012 Benghazi attack, and the latest in law enforcement technology.

Thunderhead is a wooden roller coaster located at Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Manufactured by Great Coasters International, the ride opened on April 3, 2004, as the anchor attraction of a new section added to the park that season called Thunderhead Gap. Thunderhead features 22 turns and 32 crossovers, and utilizes GCI's Millennium Flyer trains, which have been used on all GCI coasters since 1999.

Dragonflier is a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The coaster debuted in 2019 as part of the $37 million, 5.5-acre Wildwood Grove park area, which was targeted at families and children. The ride features a seven-story first drop into a tunnel, a top speed of 46.6 mph (75.0 km/h), and a total track length of 1,486.2 feet (453.0 m). This is the first 453m clone in the United States.

Wild Eagle is a steel Wing Coaster built by Bolliger & Mabillard at the Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is the first of its kind in the United States and opened to the media on March 23, 2012 before opening to the public on March 24, 2012. The roller coaster reaches a height of 210 feet (64 m) and reaches speeds of 61 miles per hour (98 km/h). In September 2012, the ride was voted as the best new ride of 2012 in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards.

FireChaser Express is a steel family launched roller coaster at the Dollywood amusement park located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The ride's revealing was part of a large announcement made on August 21, 2013. The roller coaster opened on March 22, 2014.

Mystery Mine is a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter model steel roller coaster located at Dollywood amusement park, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The ride, highly themed as a defunct, haunted mining operation from the 19th century, was the single largest investment in Dollywood's history (at the time of its inception), costing US$17.5 million. Designed by German manufacturer Gerstlauer, Mystery Mine was installed by Ride Entertainment Group, who handle all of Gerstlauer's projects in the Americas.While certain sections of Mystery Mine see riders traversing outdoor areas of track, a large portion of the attraction is inside, more akin to a themed dark ride. The rollercoaster features a combination of audio, video, fog, lights and other special effects. At the time, Mystery Mine was the first Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter installation in the United States, and had the steepest ”beyond vertical” drop of any rollercoaster in North America (upon its opening) at 95°; Gerstlauer (among other companies) has since broken that record themselves.
