Oka National Park

École secondaire d'Oka (ESO) is a public Francophone secondary school in Oka, Quebec, operated by the Commission scolaire de la Seigneurie-des-Mille-Îles (CSSMI). It serves Oka, Kanesatake, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Saint-Placide, parts of Mirabel, and parts of Saint-Eustache.

The Abbey of Notre-Dame du Lac (fr. Abbaye Notre-Dame du Lac), known as the Oka Abbey (fr. Abbaye Cistercienne d'Oka), was a Trappist Cistercian monastery located in Oka, Quebec. The main monastery building is of grey stone; it has a dozen outbuildings, all of which are situated on a 270-hectare property. With a decline in the number of monks by the early 21st century, the monastery decided to end operations there and established a non-profit centre at the abbey to preserve the site's heritage.

Lake of Two Mountains (French: Lac des Deux Montagnes) is part of the river delta widening of the Ottawa River in Quebec, Canada, at its confluence with the St. Lawrence River. Lake of Two Mountains has four outflows: Rivière des Mille Îles and Rivière des Prairies, bordering Île Jésus, and two branches of the Ottawa River, flowing into the St. Lawrence via Lake Saint-Louis, on either side of Île Perrot. The city of Deux-Montagnes is located on the lake's north shore, where it flows into Rivière des Mille Îles. The southwest portion of the city of Montreal borders the eastern part of the lake, as does the village of Senneville. Kanesatake (Kanehsatà:ke), a Kanien'kéha:ka Mohawk reserve in Kanesatake, Quebec, is also located along the northern shore.

L'Île-Cadieux is a village and municipality in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. It is located on and contiguous with Cadieux Island, which projects into Lake of Two Mountains just north off Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 105.

Oka is a small village on the northern bank of the Ottawa River (Rivière des Outaouais in French), northwest of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Located in the Laurentians valley on Lake of Two Mountains, where the Ottawa has its confluence with the St. Lawrence River, the town is connected via Quebec Route 344. It is located 50 km (30 miles) west of Montreal. The area was first established in 1721 by Roman Catholic Sulpician Fathers as a mission to serve the needs of Mohawk, Algonquin and Nipissing converts as well as of French settlers. In 1730, the mission site was moved about 1.5 km west along the shore to Pointe d'Oka (Oka's Point) close to where the first stone church was built in 1733, and around which church evolved the village that eventually became known as Oka. The Mohawks had been assigned to a west-side village that eventually became known as Kanesatake whereas the Algonquins and Nipissings had been assigned to an adjacent east-side village. Kanesatake's status is as interim land base within the meaning of the Constitution Act, 1867, and not as indian reserve within the meaning of the Indian Act.

CJVD-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. Owned and operated by Yves Sauvé, it broadcasts on 100.1 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 1,000 watts (class A). The station has an adult hits format, including music from 1955 to 1995 and identifies itself as CJVD 100,1. CJVD-FM serves Vaudreuil-Soulanges, the West Island communities of Montreal, Valleyfield, Beauharnois and Chateauguay. The radio station was founded on September 29, 2008, by Sauvé with the collaboration of Richard Noël, two well-known broadcasters in Quebec. These professionals worked during many years for important radio stations before the foundation of CJVD-FM. The station was given approval by the CRTC on July 6, 2007. However, as Sauvé had requested the 106.3 frequency, which was instead granted to Canadian Hellenic Cable Radio (CHCR) for a multicultural station (which became CKIN-FM), Sauvé's approval was made conditional on submitting a new application to use another frequency. His application for 100.1 MHz was granted on May 2, 2008.

The Ottawa River (French: Rivière des Outaouais, Algonquin: Kichi-Sìbì/Kitchissippi) is a river in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. It is named after the Algonquin word 'to trade', as it was the major trade route of Eastern Canada at the time. For most of its length, it defines the border between these two provinces. It is a major tributary of the St. Lawrence River and the longest river in Quebec.

The Île aux Tourtes Bridge is a bridge on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, spanning Lake of Two Mountains between Senneville, and Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada. It carries six lanes of Autoroute 40 and is the main transportation link between Montreal and the province of Ontario. At 2 km in length, it is the longest bridge in Quebec to cross a body of water other than the Saint Lawrence River. It is used by 87,000 vehicles per day, or 3.17 million per year, as a vital artery connecting the island of Montreal to its outer suburbs.The bridge has been subject to numerous reparations since the 1990s. With an initial projected end-of-life date of 2002, by 2018, the government of Quebec had spent $87 million to maintain the structure with another $45 million expected to be spent by 2028 to reinforce it while a replacement is built. A new $2.3 billion span is scheduled to open in 2026.

The three lakes referred to in the name are Lake of Two Mountains, Lake Saint-Louis, and Lake Saint Francis which surround much of the district.

Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac (French pronunciation: [vodʁœj syʁ lə lak], literally Vaudreuil on the Lake) is a village municipality in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It is located on the western portion of the Vaudreuil Peninsula, which projects into Lake of Two Mountains. The population as of the Canada 2016 Census was 1,341. Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac is predominantly residential (90%), and only 10% industrial and commercial. The Club Nautique des Deux-Montagnes attracts many sailing enthusiasts.

Vaudreuil-Dorion (French pronunciation: [vodʁœj dɔʁjɔ̃]) is a suburb of Greater Montreal, in the Montérégie region of southwestern Quebec, Canada. The result of the merger of two towns, Vaudreuil and Dorion, it is located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality.
