Hipp–Kennedy House

Horace and Grace Bush House, also known as Bush-Fellows Residence, is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. It is an 1821 Federal style structure with Greek Revival period additions and embellishments. The main block is a two-story, five bay post and beam structure sheathed in clapboard. It is regular and symmetrical in massing and plan. The house was moved to its current location in 1931.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Charles Finney School is a private, non-denominational Christian school offering a college preparatory program to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The Mud House is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, 24-by-38-foot (7.3 by 11.6 m) rectangular earthen building with gable roof. It was constructed about 1836 of clay, puddled with straw, and then rammed into forms above a fieldstone foundation and is a rare surviving example of rammed-earth construction and was part of the Brown Brothers Nursery owned by Don Brown. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Samuel Rich House is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. It was originally built in 1816 as a 1+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed frame dwelling in the rural vernacular building tradition. It was substantially enlarged in 1832 with the addition of an elegant 2-story, five-bay, Federal style, hipped roof, main block. Also on the property are three contributing structures: a chicken coop, brick smokehouse, and the stone foundation of a frame barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Harvey Whalen House is a historic home located in the town of Penfield in Monroe County, New York. The brick building, constructed in 1875, consists of a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, Victorian Gothic main block with attached Second Empire tower and 1-story brick addition. Also on the property are three contributing structures; two barns (now garages) and a shed.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.Harvey Whalen, a farmer and Penfield town Poormaster, left the house and surrounding Maple Hill Farm to his sons. Of the three sons (Howard, Charles, and H. Wilson Whalen), two went on to serve terms as Penfield town supervisor. Later owners included the Footer family and the Simonetti family.

The Officer Daryl R. Pierson Memorial Post Office Building is a historic post office building located at East Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was designed and built 1936–1937, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The one story brick building is in the Colonial Revival style and has a roof crowned by a flat topped cupola. The entrance features fluted Doric columns and a blind fanlight with sculpted eagle. The interior features a mural titled "Recreation Hours" by Bernard GussowIt was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. In 2015, the post office was named for Daryl Pierson, an East Rochester native and Rochester police officer who was killed in the line of duty the previous year; the building was officially dedicated on June 4, 2016.

The population was 39,438 at the 2020 census.The town was incorporated in 1810 by the proprietor Daniel Penfield, a veteran of the Revolutionary War who purchased the town lands in 1795 and moved to the area in 1809. The Daisy Flour Mill is a restaurant and assembly hall located in what was once a flour mill on Irondequoit Creek. It is located on Blossom Road in the town of Penfield, New York, just across the creek from Ellison Park. Originally built in 1840, it is the last remaining mill on Irondequoit Creek.The weatherboard building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 26, 1972.
