Samuel Rich House

The Charles Finney School is a private, non-denominational Christian school offering a college preparatory program to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school has developed a reputation for both student outreach and as a strong competitor, despite its small size. Finney is accredited by both the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International and is the only school in the Greater Rochester, New York region to have achieved both. Finney students come from 24 different school districts in the region, as well as from nine different countries through the school's International Student Program.

East Rochester is a coterminous town and village located southeast of the City of Rochester in Monroe County, New York, United States. The town and village, home to 6,334 people at the time of the 2020 United States Census, is surrounded by Pittsford on the west side, by Perinton to the east, and by Penfield to the north. The Officer Daryl R. Pierson Memorial Post Office Building is a historic post office building located at East Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was designed and built 1936–1937, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The one story brick building is in the Colonial Revival style and has a roof crowned by a flat topped cupola. The entrance features fluted Doric columns and a blind fanlight with sculpted eagle. The interior features a mural titled "Recreation Hours" by Bernard GussowIt was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. In 2015, the post office was named for Daryl Pierson, an East Rochester native and Rochester police officer who was killed in the line of duty the previous year; the building was officially dedicated on June 4, 2016.

Horace and Grace Bush House, also known as Bush-Fellows Residence, is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. It is an 1821 Federal style structure with Greek Revival period additions and embellishments. The main block is a two-story, five bay post and beam structure sheathed in clapboard. It is regular and symmetrical in massing and plan. The house was moved to its current location in 1931.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Hipp–Kennedy House is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. The main body of the house was built in 1838 and is in the Greek Revival style. The frame building is composed of a two-story, three-bay main block with center entrance flanked by identical 1+1⁄2-story wings. The north wing of the residence is believed to incorporate the remnants of a log dwelling built about 1804.It was designated as a Penfield landmark in 1982 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The East Rochester Union Free School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 1,200 students in the Town/Village of East Rochester and portions of the towns of Penfield, Perinton and Pittsford in Monroe County, with over 200 employees and an operating budget of $23 million (~$16,838 per student).The average class size is 20-23 students and the student-teacher ratio is 11:1.The District's motto is "Tradition and Vision". East Rochester Junior-Senior High School (ERHS) is a public high school serving 596 students in the seventh through twelfth grade in East Rochester in the U.S. state of New York and is part of the East Rochester Union Free School District. The student–teacher ratio is 10 to 1. The principal is Casey Van Harssel.

The Mud House is a historic home located at Penfield in Monroe County, New York. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, 24-by-38-foot (7.3 by 11.6 m) rectangular earthen building with gable roof. It was constructed about 1836 of clay, puddled with straw, and then rammed into forms above a fieldstone foundation and is a rare surviving example of rammed-earth construction and was part of the Brown Brothers Nursery owned by Don Brown. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Monroe Invitational Championship is an annual amateur golf tournament in the United States, played since 1937 at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Originally a match play event, it switched to 72-hole stroke play format in 1998. The MIC is a "category B" tournament in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, meaning it is one of the top 100 men's amateur tournaments in the world.The course at Monroe Golf Club opened in 1924 and was designed by Donald Ross. Nick Palladino won the 2013 event in a playoff. Due to rain, the event had been shortened to 54 holes. Entering his senior year at the University of Rochester, Palladino became the first Division III player to win the event.

Monroe Golf Club is a Donald Ross-designed course in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Opened for play in 1924, it is home to the annual Monroe Invitational Championship, a highly regarded amateur event first played in 1937. Monroe Golf Club was ranked #96 in Golfweek's 2011 top 100 best classic courses. Nearby to the northwest is the well-known Oak Hill Country Club, also designed by Ross.

The 2014 LPGA Championship was the 60th LPGA Championship, held August 14–17 at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Known for sponsorship reasons as the Wegmans LPGA Championship, it was the fourth of five major championships on the LPGA Tour during the 2014 season. This was the first LPGA Championship played at Monroe Golf Club, after four years at nearby Locust Hill Country Club. Defending champion Inbee Park won her second LPGA Championship, defeating runner-up Brittany Lincicome on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff for her fifth major title. Park was the first to win consecutive LPGA Championship titles in nine years, last accomplished by Annika Sörenstam, who won her third straight in 2005. Park's win the previous year at Locust Hill was also in a playoff. This was the final year as the LPGA Championship, which became the "KPMG Women's PGA Championship" in 2015, conducted by the PGA of America.
