Port Hammond

The Golden Ears Bridge is a six-lane extradosed bridge in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. It spans the Fraser River, connecting Langley on the south side with Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge on the north side. The bridge opened to traffic on June 16, 2009. The bridge replaced a previous ferry service several kilometers upstream and will be run by a private consortium, the Golden Crossing General Partnership, until June 2041.

Derby is a locality on the lower Fraser River in northwestern Langley. The site of the original Fort Langley, established in 1827 by the Hudson's Bay Company, and was the first post established in Coast Salish territory. The Fort was later moved 4 km to its present location in 1839. In 1858, when the Royal Engineers arrived, they built barracks in Derby. All signs of the town and fort have since disappeared, with the locality now only an intersection in the middle of farmland. Its church, the Church of St. John the Divine, was moved across the river to what is now Maple Ridge, where it remains today. The only surviving trace of Derby on the map is the Derby Reach of the Fraser, which describes the northward arc of the Fraser south of Haney (Maple Ridge's downtown) and the associated Derby Reach Regional Park.

Maple Meadows station is a stop on the West Coast Express commuter rail line connecting Vancouver to Mission, British Columbia, Canada. The station is located on the north side of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) tracks in Maple Ridge, just off Maple Meadows Way and Hammond Road. The station opened in 1995, when the West Coast Express began operating. 467 park and ride spaces are available. All services are operated by TransLink.

Westview Secondary is a public high school in Maple Ridge, British Columbia part of School District 42 Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows. The school opened to the public in 1973 as SD42's only junior high school. But in 1995, the school had a major refit, and its first grade 12 graduates crossed its stage in June 1995. Presently, Westview Secondary School is the second biggest school in SD42 by size, population, and sports and fitness programs listed. Sports: Wrestling, Rugby, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, & Ultimate Frisbee. At the beginning of the 2013/2014 school year, Westview lost its principal, Mr. Conner, and vice-principals, Ian Liversidge and McGuaig. The new school year brought in Ms. GieSinger from Thomas Haney Secondary, and Mr. Stanley from Samuel Robertson Technical Secondary. Westview Secondary has a Multi-Purpose Room (It is the Cafeteria and Theater in both), a weight room, a small, and main gym, a metal-shop, wood-shop, and BCIT auto mechanics shop, 2 Mac computer labs, 1 PC lab, 1 library, 7+ science labs, and 20+ classrooms. The school also features a standard football-field-sized turf field. It is the second-largest in SD42.

Pitt Meadows Secondary School (PMSS) is a public high school in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, part of School District 42 Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows. The school was founded in 1961 and celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house on September 30, 2011. It is one of two high schools a part of SD42 that has a French Immersion program from grades 8-12.

Walnut Grove Secondary School (WGSS) is located in the community of Walnut Grove in Langley, British Columbia. It has an enrollment of over 2,000 students, making it the largest school in Langley and one of the largest schools in the Vancouver region. As of 2009, it was the seventh largest school in the province of British Columbia. The athletic programs, led by their mascot Wally, are among the highest ranking in the province.The school has undergone two significant capital projects since its inception, including the latest in 2001 with a new multipurpose room, classrooms, and student common spaces. WGSS is also the location for many scenes from the Disney movie 16 Wishes.

Carvolth Exchange is a bus loop and park and ride facility serving northwestern Langley Township, British Columbia, Canada. TransLink is the primary operator of the exchange, with routes to Surrey City Centre, New Westminster, Burnaby, Maple Ridge and Langley City, which provide connections to SkyTrain and the West Coast Express rail services for travel towards Vancouver. A single BC Transit route is also operated with service to Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Burnaby.

Pitt Meadows is a municipality of Metro Vancouver in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Incorporated in 1914, it has a land area of 86.34 square kilometres (33.34 sq mi) and a population of 19,146 as of 2021. The municipality received its name from the Pitt River and Pitt Lake. Pitt Meadows is one of 21 municipalities plus Electoral Area A that comprises the Metro Vancouver Regional District.Indigenous Peoples have resided in Pitt Meadows for approximately 1000 years. James McMillan explored the area in 1874. The Municipality of Maple Ridge, which included the Pitt Meadows area, was incorporated in 1874. In 1892, residents of the Pitt Meadows area petitioned for their removal from the District of Maple Ridge. In 1893, the first dyking district was organized; however, the Fraser River Flood of 1894 flooded many acres of land in Pitt Meadows. In 1914, Pitt Meadows was a small, agricultural community of less than 250 individuals which supplied Vancouver and New Westminster with produce and dairy products. In 1995, Pitt Meadows became a member municipality of Metro Vancouver. In 2007, the District of Pitt Meadows was incorporated as the City of Pitt Meadows. In 2014, Pitt Meadows' centennial occurred.

The Vancouver British Columbia Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the seventh in Canada and the first in British Columbia.
