Mapleton-Fall Creek, Indianapolis

Beth-El Zedeck Temple, originally known as Beth-El Temple, is a historic synagogue located in the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The building was completed in 1924, and was originally home to Congregation Beth-El before merging with the Ohev Zedeck congregation in 1928. It is the oldest remaining synagogue structure in Indianapolis.The building is a two-story, neoclassical structure with a brick exterior and flat roof. It has a terra cotta cornice and ornamental pedestals throughout the roof line. Its entrance features a decorative canopy over the front doors, which is suspended to the building by two steel tension cables. The interior features a large sanctuary space on the second floor and classrooms on the first floor.The temple was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

Historic Meridian Park Neighborhood is situated north of downtown Indianapolis, and located within the larger Mapleton Fall Creek Neighborhood. While the neighborhood is fairly small, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.The neighborhood began to be developed around the turn of the 20th century. It not only has a significant collection of American Craftsman or Arts & Crafts Style homes, but is also notable as one of Indianapolis's first suburbs.

Shortridge High School is a public high school located in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Shortridge is the home of the International Baccalaureate and arts and humanities programs of the Indianapolis Public Schools district.(IPS). Originally known as Indianapolis High School, it opened in 1864 and is Indiana's oldest free public high school. New Albany High School (1853) was Indiana's first public high school, but was not initially free. Author Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Shortridge class of 1940, said that Shortridge was: "... my dream of an America with great public schools. I thought we should be the envy of the world with our public schools. And I went to such a public school. So I knew that such a school was possible. Shortridge High School in Indianapolis produced not only me, but the head writer on the I LOVE LUCY show (Madelyn Pugh). And, my God, we had a daily paper, we had a debating team, had a fencing team. We had a chorus, a jazz band, a serious orchestra. And all this with a Great Depression going on. And I wanted everybody to have such a school."

The Central Court Historic District is a historic district and neighborhood of the city of Indianapolis in northern Center Township, Marion County, Indiana, United States. Built around Central Court near the intersection of 36th Street and Central Avenue,: 57  the neighborhood consists of seventy-five buildings over an area of 7.6 acres (3.1 ha).Central Court was platted in 1916 by Oscar A. Jose and Peter J. Balz, local real estate developers who also created such neighborhoods as Meridian Park to the southwest and the neighborhood lining Fall Creek Parkway between Thirty-eighth and Thirtieth Streets. They employed a range of architectural styles for the houses in the neighborhood, including American Craftsman, Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial Revival,: 57  and Prairie School. Many designs were used multiple times in the neighborhood, which has been recognized as one of the area's better examples of early twentieth-century residential architecture. They built forty-seven houses around the U-shaped Central Court and along Thirty-sixth Street and Central Avenue; seven face Central Avenue, ten face Thirty-sixth Street, and thirty face Central Court.: 58 In 2004, Central Court was designated a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is by far the smallest historic district in its portion of the city, being dwarfed by areas such as Meridian Park a short distance to the southwest.: 6 

St. Richard's Episcopal School is a private, Episcopal day school located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It serves urban Indianapolis and the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area as a school for children from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. It is the only Episcopal elementary day school in the state.

George Philip Meier House, also known as Tuckaway, is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1907, and is a two-story, Bungalow / American Craftsman style frame dwelling clad in cedar clapboard. The second story was added in 1912. It has a front gable roof and features a full width front porch and scrolled brackets on the overhanging eaves.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Esplanade Apartments is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1912 and opened for business with ads in the Indianapolis Star on September 1, 1912, and is a two to three-story, U-shaped, brick veneered building. It has simulated half-timbering and hipped roof with wide overhanging boxed eaves in the Prairie School and Bungalow / American Craftsman style.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Alfred M. Glossbrenner Mansion is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built about 1910, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Jacobethan Revival style brick dwelling with limestone trim. It has a porte cochere and sun porch with Tudor arched openings. It features a multi-gabled roof, stone mullions, buttresses, and tall chimneys. It was converted to medical offices in the 1950s.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Buckingham is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1909–1910, and is a three-story, U-shaped, Tudor Revival style brown-red brick building with limestone trim. It features four-sided turrets framing the three-bay entrance facade with loggia and oriel windows.: 7 It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Balmoral Court, also known as The Balmoral, is a historic apartment complex located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The complex was built in 1916, and consists of three, 2+1⁄2-story, Colonial Revival / Georgian Revival style townhouse blocks. The blocks are arranged around a central courtyard and are topped by gable roofs with dormers. The building at the end of the courtyard features a pedimented portico with Corinthian order columns.: 5–6 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Watson Park Historic District, also known as Watson Road Historic District and Watson McCord Neighborhood, is a national historic district located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The district encompasses 402 contributing buildings and 4 contributing sites in a predominantly residential section of Indianapolis. They include 255 houses, 27 multiple family dwellings, and 120 garages. It was developed between about 1910 and 1960, and includes representative examples of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district is the Watson Park Bird Sanctuary.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Shortridge–Meridian Street Apartments Historic District is a national historic district located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The district encompasses 136 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Indianapolis. It was developed between about 1900 and 1951, and includes representative examples of Colonial Revival, Classical Revival, Late Gothic Revival, Mission Revival, Renaissance Revival, Bungalow / American Craftsman, and Art Deco style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Shortridge High School. Other notable buildings include the Vernon Court Apartments (1928), Fronenac Apartments (1951), Biltmore Apartments (1927), Meridian Apartments (1929), New Yorker Apartments (1917), Howland Manor (1929), Powell-Evans House (1911), Harms House (1906), Dorchester Apartments (1921), and Martin Manor Apartments (1916).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
