Palais des Sports, known also as the Palais des sports Pierre Mendes or "Le Stade Olympique de Glace" is an indoor ice hockey arena, located in Paul Mistral Park in Grenoble, France. The vaulted roof structure was built from November 1966 to April 1967, therefore having tough weather problems to add to construction difficulties. The stadium was conceived for the 1968 Winter Olympics held in Grenoble in 1968 and has a capacity of up to 12,000 spectators.

The Stade des Alpes is a rugby and football stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium seats 20,068 and hosts the home games of Grenoble Foot 38 and the FC Grenoble rugby club. Situated in Paul Mistral Park, it replaced their stadium Stade Lesdiguières. The venue was built while GF38 played in the top divisions of French football, and had become somewhat of a white elephant when the club fell to the 4th division and attracted few fans. However, the stadium gained greater viability once FC Grenoble earned their most recent promotion to the Top 14 in 2012. Since 2014–15, with FC Grenoble now consolidated in Top 14, the club have changed their primary home from their traditional ground, Stade Lesdiguières, to Stade des Alpes. With GF38 returning to the second tier of French football in 2017, the side began to attract more fans again. The first goal scored there was by Ivorian striker Franck Dja Djedje, then at Grenoble on loan from Paris Saint-Germain F.C.On February 10, 2017, it hosted a Six Nations Under 20s Championship match between France and Scotland with France winning 36 - 8. This stadium uses solar panels and produces more than 70 MWh per year.

La Patinoire Municipale (English: The Municipal Ice Rink) is an indoor ice venue located in Grenoble, France. Completed in 1963, it hosted some of the ice hockey competitions for the 1968 Winter Olympics. During those games, it seated 2700. The venue also hosted the 1964 European Figure Skating Championships. In 2001, the building became a gymnasium called Halle Clemenceau.

Paul Mistral Park (Parc Paul Mistral in French) is an urban park located in Grenoble. It is 67 acres (27 ha) and it holds important sporting facilities and the city hall. Placed inside an old military engineering ground, it was created thanks to the International Exhibition of Hydropower and Tourism which took place in 1925.

L'Anneau de Vitesse (English: The Speed Circuit) is an outdoor speed skating venue located in Grenoble, France. It hosted the speed skating events for the 1968 Winter Olympics. This Speed Circuit is located in a park of 27 hectares, the Park Paul Mistral. The park also hosts the Palais des sports was the main Olympic site in the city in 1968. The venue seated 2500 during the games, and was cooled to −7 °C (19 °F) using 125 km (78 mi) of ammonia refrigeration over a total skating surface of 9,000 m2 (97,000 sq ft).

The Hôtel de Ville (French pronunciation: [otɛl də vil], City Hall) is the local seat of government in Grenoble, France. It was designated a monument historique by the French government in 2023.

The canton of Grenoble-3 is an administrative division of the Isère department, eastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Grenoble.It consists of the following communes: Grenoble (partly)

The International Exhibition of Hydropower and Tourism (French: Exposition internationale de la houille blanche et du tourisme) was an exhibition which ran from May 21 to October 25, 1925 in the city of Grenoble in France, in order to promote the city as the capital of "white coal" (houille blanche), as hydropower was then known. This exhibition gave credit to the people of Grenoble in general, and the industrialist Aristide Bergès in particular, for harnessing the driving force of water rushing down from the mountains. This was also an opportunity for Grenoble to celebrate the new industries of tomorrow. Suggested by Paul Mistral, the mayor of Grenoble, the project was backed immediately by the support of Léon Perrier, president of the General Council of the Isère. Hydroelectricity is at the center of Grenoble's economic development. Tourism began to develop in the Alps at the beginning of the twentieth century, with the first bus trips. Hydropower had been developing since the 1870s with the control of waterfalls in the mountains. The paper industry was also growing well, thanks to leaders like Bergès, Felix Viallet and Joseph Bouchayer. Close to the old town, land was acquired from the military, not without difficulty, and adapted in record time with lot of different buildings, as the Palais de la Houille Blanche. The event was of utmost importance; the exhibition hosted over one million visitors in five months. "The victory of man over nature, the domination of the forces of the mountains by man", said Mistral, who also inaugurated a new industrial and urban development plan. The site became a city park in 1926, called Parc Paul Mistral since the death of the mayor in 1932. Today, the only building remaining of this exhibition in the park, is the Tour Perret, closed to the public since 1960.

The Natural History Museum of Grenoble (French: Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Grenoble) is a municipal museum founded in 1851, in Grenoble, France. Since the opening of the building in 1855, it presents to the public a rich natural heritage, in particular alpine heritage. The museum houses a collection of one and a half million objects and specimens in the disciplines of botany, zoology, geology and even ethnology. Facades and roofs on the edge of the Jardin des Plantes (Plants Garden) have been listed as historical monuments since January 24, 1944.

L'Île Verte is a neighborhood in Grenoble, located in a bend in the river Isère. It is relatively independent from downtown. The district is one of the most heavily populated in the town, due primarily to the large apartments (three large towers, as well as an ?S-shaped apartment complex). The area is mostly residential, but the Police Headquarters (Hotel de Police) is also located here.

Saint Roch Cemetery (French: Cimetière Saint-Roch) is the first municipal cemetery in the city of Grenoble, France. It was blessed by the bishop of Grenoble Claude Simon on 19 August 1810. It is the largest cemetery in the city with 13 ha (32.12 acres). Located on the rue du Souvenir, alongside the Isère, in the district of Île Verte, it is the city's only intramural cemetery, currently containing 25,000 graves over an area of 13 hectares (32.12 acres). The city has another cemetery, that of Grand Sablon, in the adjacent city of La Tronche. Among those buried here are political leaders, military personnel, scientists and artists. The most important tombs however are of manufacturers of gloves. The sculptors Victor Sappey, Henri Ding, Eustache Bernard, Aimé Charles Irvoy and Urbain Basset are also buried here. Many mayors of the city since the French Revolution are buried in this cemetery, from Joseph-Marie de Barral, mayor in 1790, to Albert Michallon, mayor from 1959 to 1965, as are the painters Jules Flandrin and Jean Achard and Camille Teisseire, representative for Isère in the French Chamber of Deputies (1820–1824) and Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. The most prestigious monument in the cemetery is the Saint Roch Chapel, built during the Bourbon Restoration in 1826 to replace the old chapel of the same name, built in the 15th century near a hospital for lepers.

The Bibliothèque municipale de Grenoble is a library in Grenoble, France. It was founded in 1772, following the succession of Bishop, Jean de Caulet. The current building located Boulevard Maréchal Lyautey was opened in January 1960 for the University and since 1970, for all audiences.
