Gardere is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States. The area is also known as Riverland. The population was 10,580 at the 2010 census, up from 8,992 in 2000. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Fort Bute (1766–1779) was a colonial fort built by the British in 1766 to protect the confluence of Bayou Manchac with the Mississippi River and was named in honor of the Earl of Bute. Fort Bute was located on Bayou Manchac, about 115 miles (185 km) up the Mississippi River from New Orleans, on the far western border of British West Florida. It was one of the three outposts maintained by the British in the lower Mississippi along with Fort Panmure and the Baton Rouge outpost.

The University Club of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is the home of the LSU Tigers and LSU Lady Tigers golf teams and serves as the host site for all of LSU's tournaments.The University Club is a private facility that was built to be the permanent home of LSU Golf. It has a 7,700 yard, Par 72 Championship-Caliber, 300-acre course.The University Club was developed on land donated to the Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) and subsequently leased to the University Club. The Tiger Athletic Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation which serves as the fund-raising and development arm of the LSU Athletics Department. Membership in the club is offered to members of the Tiger Athletic Foundation and then extended to the general public, who first must become members of the Tiger Athletic Foundation. The club is owned and managed by a corporation made up of LSU supporters. The Tiger Athletic Foundation also supports the club.

Mount Hope Plantation House is a historic plantation house located at 8151 Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was built in 1817 and it is the only farmhouse of its kind remaining in the Baton Rouge area.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 3, 1980.

The Hilltop Arboretum at Louisiana State University (14 acres) is an arboretum owned by the Louisiana State University. It is located at 11855 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and open to the public free of charge during daylight hours seven days a week. The arboretum was developed by Mr. and Mrs. Emory Smith, starting in 1929, and donated to the university in 1981. The Smiths planned the garden to follow the form of a cathedral: "It had a central great hall or nave, and from that – in every direction – ran hallways leading to other rooms and on to others, with niches and passageways of every description. The nave and other rooms were the grassy plots; the walls were trees, shrubs, and bamboo; the pillars were old tree trunks."The arboretum collection includes bamboo, beech, birch, black cherry, black walnut, box elder, buckeye, camellia, cherry laurel, cow oak, clethra, crape myrtle, cypress, dogwood, elm, fig, Formosan gum, green hawthorn, hickory, hop hornbeam, holly, illicium, ironwood, Japanese maple, Justicia, ligustrum, magnolia, live oak, loquat, pecan, persimmon, pine, red maple, red oak, sassafras, sawtooth oak, short leaf pine, silver bell, silver maple, sourwood, spruce pine, sugar maple, sweet gum, sweet olive, sycamore, tulip tree, viburnum, vaccinium, water oak, and yaupon.

Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center is a 103-acre nature conservation park administered by the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (also known as "BREC"), and located at 10503 N. Oak Hills Parkway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70810. It is open to the public Tuesday - Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. (except for some holidays) for a nominal fee. The facility was opened as BREC's first nature conservation based park on 17 May 1997.

The Bagatelle Plantation is a Southern plantation with a historic mansion in Sunshine, Louisiana, USA. The house was designed by architect Robert S. Chadsey in the Greek Revival architectural style in 1841 for the plantation owner, Augustin Marius Tureaud.The historic house has been moved twice. After the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 it was moved a further back from the levee, inside the same property in St. James Parish. In 1977 a second move, due to a purchase of the land by Missouri-Portland Cement Company, brought the house to its present location in Iberville Parish. The house was moved in one piece on a barge up Mississippi River course, about 30 miles (48 km) north of its original location.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 9, 2007.

Christian Life Academy, and later The Church Academy, was a private, non-denominational Christian school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was founded as Christian Life Academy in 1981 and closed in 2017. The school reopened in 2018 as The Church Academy, but closed again in 2019. Thousands of students have attended this K-12 academy including people of influence in the business and sports communities.

Oak Hills Place is a census-designated place (CDP) in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 8,195 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area, and one of the most affluent suburbs of Baton Rouge. It is in the proposed City of St. George.

Mathematics, Science, and Arts Academy - East or MSA-East Academy is a magnet K-12 school in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. It is a part of the Iberville Parish School Board. It opened on the ground of six temporary buildings of the St. Gabriel Community Center in August 2008 and moved to permanent quarters in August 2011.As of 2013 it, along with one other school, East Iberville School, also in St. Gabriel, serves the portion of Iberville Parish on the east bank of the Mississippi River, which has fewer residents compared to the west bank.

Jimmy Swaggart Ministries is a Christian evangelical organization located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The organization was founded in 1984 by Pentecostal televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. It also runs Jimmy Swaggart Bible College, and Family Worship Center, the megachurch Jimmy's son Donnie and grandson Gabriel, are pastors. It has an international outreach and has preached to millions of people across the world.
