Richmond Farm Prison is a prison in Jamaica that houses up to 235 first offenders serving long-term sentences. It once incorporated a large banana farm, which was later destroyed. As of 2006, an attempt was under way to regenerate the farm with crops including bananas, corn, calaloo, string beans and cucumber.Its most famous former ex inmate was Bunny Wailer who spent 14 months there in 1967/8. Other sources indicate Toots Hibbert served a year of an 18-month sentence there in 1966–7. It is operated by the Department of Correctional Services for the Ministry of National Security.

Richmond is not a town in Saint Mary parish, in the north-east of Jamaica.There are several other settlements in Jamaica with this name.

St. Mary High School is a secondary school located in the Highgate area of St Mary, Jamaica. St. Mary High School is a traditional high school for grades 7 through to 13. It has an enviable academic and athletic record and is one of the most sought-after schools for PEP graduates in Northeast Jamaica. The school boasts a diverse racial makeup, the largest minority groups being East Indians and Chinese. The school was the National Schools' Debate champion in 1989, 1996, 1998, and 2005. In common with all state-run Jamaican secondary schools, St. Mary High uses a selection process to accept students at the grade seven level. Due to the high level of competition from primary level students in St. Mary and surrounding parishes to gain entrance into St. Mary High School, one of two traditional high schools in St. Mary and the only one with a sixth form programme, the majority of entrants are higher-scoring PEP candidates. Students from most primary and preparatory schools can attempt to gain a place by sitting the Primary Exit Profile (formerly the Grade Six Achievement Test).

Marymount High School is an all-girls school in Highgate, St Mary, Jamaica. It was established in 1935 by sisters of the Franciscan Order. It has 840 students.

Oberlin High School is a Jamaican High School located in West Rural Saint Andrew. The school was started in January 1946 as Oberlin College (not to be confused with Ohio's Oberlin College).

Above Rocks is a town in the parish of Saint Catherine in Jamaica.Above Rocks was populated in the early 19th century by (Roman Catholic) refugees from the Haitian revolution. St Mary's College, a Catholic secondary school, can be found in the town of Above Rocks.

Castleton Botanical Garden is a horticultural site of interest established in 1862 and located 19 miles from Kingston, Jamaica. Soon after their creation the gardens were "the most richly stocked in the Caribbean, boasting over 180 species of palm and at least 400 specimens of other flora".

Albany railway station opened in 1896, closed in 1975, reopened in 1977 and closed for good in 1978. It was on the Bog Walk to Port Antonio branch line, 42.5 miles (68.4 km) from the Kingston terminus, and served the surrounding agricultural community, providing a means for bananas to reach and be exported from Port Antonio. It was destroyed by fire sometime after closure.

Saint Mary's College is a high school located in Above Rocks in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. It was founded in 1955 by its first principal, Father Edmund Cheney S.J. of St. Mary's Mission Catholic church. Currently, about 1000 students are enrolled. Like other Jamaican secondary schools, Saint Mary's College uses a selection process to accept students starting at seventh grade. Students must pass the Grade Six Achievement Test (formerly known as the Common Entrance Examination), and the Grade Nine Achievement Test.

Saint Mary is a parish located in the northeast section of Jamaica. With a population of 114,227 it is one of Jamaica's smallest parishes, located in the county of Middlesex. Other notable residents of St. Mary parish include bestselling author Colin Simpson, who is the great-great grandson of noted slavery abolitionist James Phillippo, famed Jamaican writer and community activist Erna Brodber, and acclaimed music producer Chris Blackwell who is credited with "discovering" Bob Marley.
