Tulloch Airfield is an airstrip serving the town of Bog Walk in the Saint Catherine Parish of Jamaica. There is high terrain south through east of the airstrip. The Kingston non-directional beacon (Ident: KIN) is located 10.5 nautical miles (19.4 km) southeast of Tulloch Airfield. The Manley VOR/DME (Ident: MLY) is located 15.9 nautical miles (29.4 km) southeast of the runway.

The Flat Bridge is a beam bridge across the Rio Cobre on the A1 road connecting the Jamaican capital Kingston, with the north coast tourist areas of Dunn's River and Ocho Rios. It is one of the oldest bridges in Jamaica.

Bog Walk is a town in the parish of Saint Catherine, Jamaica. In 1898 work started on a hydroelectric power plant on the Rio Cobre near Bog Walk. The plant (1,500 H.P.) was completed the next year and used to power Kingston's tramway system (until then the cars were hauled by pairs of mules). In a June 1904 accident, 33 workers died while cleaning the huge water pipe feeding the power station. The plant, one of the earliest in the Western Hemisphere, was closed in August 1966.

The Rio Cobre Dam is a diversion dam on the Rio Cobre near Spanish Town in Saint Catherine Parish, Jamaica. It is owned by the National Irrigation Commission. The primary purpose of the dam is to divert water into a canal on its right bank for the irrigation of up to 12,000 ha (30,000 acres) to the south. It also provides municipal water to Spanish Town. The scheme contains more than 48 km (30 mi) of canals and waters sugar cane, bananas and cattle.Plans for the scheme began with then Governor of Jamaica John Peter Grant in 1870. Construction began at the end of 1872 and by June 1876 the dam and canals were complete.In the late 1800s the West India Electric Company constructed a 900 kW hydroelectric power station upstream at Bog Walk to power a tram system in Kingston. On 24 June 1904, while workers were cleaning the station's penstock, water was accidentally released down it killing 33 of them. The power station was closed in 1966, 62 years after the accident but, the dam, the ruins of the turbine house and some of the concrete supports of the penstock still exist today.

Bog is a settlement in Jamaica. It has a population of 13,889 as of 2009.

Saint Mary's College is a high school located in Above Rocks in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. It was founded in 1955 by its first principal, Father Edmund Cheney S.J. of St. Mary's Mission Catholic church. Currently, about 1000 students are enrolled. Like other Jamaican secondary schools, Saint Mary's College uses a selection process to accept students starting at seventh grade. Students must pass the Grade Six Achievement Test (formerly known as the Common Entrance Examination), and the Grade Nine Achievement Test.

Above Rocks is a town in the parish of Saint Catherine in Jamaica.Above Rocks was populated in the early 19th century by (Roman Catholic) refugees from the Haitian revolution. St Mary's College, a Catholic secondary school, can be found in the town of Above Rocks.

Linstead Primary & Junior High is an elementary school in Linstead, Jamaica; one of oldest in the island. Despite several official name changes it has always been colloquially known as Linstead School.The school is attended by students from Linstead and many neighbouring communities. It operates a two shift system in order to accommodate the maximum possible number of students. The first shift is for Grades 1–6, the second for Grades 7–9. Students from 26 neighbouring schools transfer in for grades 7–9. They sit the Junior High School Certificate Examination at Grade 9 prior to transferring to a high school based on their performance in the examination.The school hosts an Evening Institute for adult education. This is attended by people from a wide area including Jubilee Town, Cedar Valley, Redwood, Berwick, Bonnet, Jericho, Lluidas Vale, Bermaddy, York Street, and Juan-de-Bolas. It provides courses in barbecue, census enumeration, Jam-Can Group, Peace Corps Group, Training of electorate personnel and CXC classes.There is an active Parent and Teachers Association, which supports education week and careers day.The school is a designated earthquake and hurricane shelter.

Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre was built to accommodate 120 male inmates.It is operated by the Department of Correctional Services for the Ministry of National Security.
