Claremont is a city in Catawba County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Rock Barn Farm, also known as the Hoke-Roseman Farm, is a historic farm located near Claremont, Catawba County, North Carolina. It has 4 contributing buildings, 2 contributing site and 2 contributing structures. The house was built about 1870, and is a two-story, vernacular Greek Revival style frame farmhouse. Also on the property are the contributing remnant of Island Ford Road, corn crib, car shed, granary, two story bank barn known as the "Rock Barn" (c. 1822), foundation wall, and the farm acreage. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

St. John's Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod located in Conover, North Carolina, and a member of the LCMS' Southeastern District. Officially formed in 1798, the church has a rich German history.

Bandys High School ( BAN-deez) is a public, coeducational high school located in Catawba, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Catawba County Schools district. The school was built for $382,751 and dedicated March 28, 1955.

Powell–Trollinger Lime Kilns is a set of three historic lime kilns located at Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. They were built about 1865, and are built into the side of a hill behind a solid stone wall, 20 to 30 feet high. The kilns were located at the top through rock-lined, circular openings. The kilns operated into the 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Tri-City Christian School was a PreK-12th grade private Christian school located in Conover, North Carolina, just east of the town of Hickory. The school opened in 1996, and served the community through providing a Christian education experience for its students. Later after the school opened, it no longer was just a ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church, but invited students from various church backgrounds to attend. In June 2019, the school closed.TCCS was a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International, the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools, and the North Carolina Association of Christian Schools.

Bandy Farms Historic District, also known as the Theodore L. Bandy Farm and Joseph S. Bandy Farm, is a historic farm and national historic district located near Bandy's Crossroads, Catawba County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 3 contributing buildings. They are two nearly identical two-story brick farmhouses built in 1884 and 1887, and a one-story brick outbuilding.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Concordia College was a Lutheran college and high school in Conover, North Carolina. Founded as a high school by members of the Evangelical Lutheran Tennessee Synod in 1878, it added college courses in 1881. The English Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri and Other States took over control of the school in 1893. Control passed to the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod when the English Synod merged with it in 1911. In April 1935, a fire destroyed the main building, and the school closed permanently at the end of the spring semester.

Bolick Historic District, also known as Bolick Buggy Shop and Bolick Family Houses, is a national historic district located at Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 9 contributing building and 1 contributing structure. The district includes the remaining buildings of the Jerome Bolick & Sons Company buggy works and four houses with accompanying outbuildings which were erected by members of the Bolick family. The houses include examples of Colonial Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman architecture.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Long, McCorkle and Murray Houses is a set of three historic homes and national historic district located at Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. The McCorkle House (c. 1890) reflects the popular Queen Anne style, while the Long (c. 1902–1910) and Murray (c. 1920) houses represent variations of the Bungalow style. The Long House property includes a contributing garage, servant's house, and landscape design.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
