Convention Center/South 15th Street station

The Greater Tacoma Convention Center, is a convention center in downtown Tacoma, in the U.S. state of Washington. It opened in November 2004 and has been described as the "second largest meeting and event facility in Western Washington". It was designed by MulvannyG2 Architecture, of Bellevue, Washington.Located at 1500 Commerce, the center has over 118,000 square feet (11,000 m2) of meeting and usable prefunction space which includes a 50,000 sq ft (4,600 m2), column-free exhibition hall, a 13,650 sq ft (1,268 m2) ballroom, and eleven breakout rooms in varying sizes. There are 400 parking spaces on-site. The convention center is also served by Tacoma Link at the Convention Center/S. 15th Street station. Buses operated by Pierce Transit also serve the convention center, with stops on nearby Pacific Avenue, as well as on Market Street and on 13th Street. In September 2010, the Greater Tacoma Convention Center added Commerce Room, a meeting space adding over 1,800 square feet (170 m2) to the center. The Commerce Room can be used by convention groups as an additional breakout room or on its own for smaller events with a capacity for 180 people.

Children's Museum of Tacoma is a nonprofit museum for children located in Tacoma, Washington. The museum officially opened in 1986. The museum offers hands on play-to-learn experiences for children. In 2018 the museum secured a 1.6 million dollar commitment from the U.S. Department of Defense to open a satellite location on a military base (Joint Base Lewis-McChord).

The Luzon Building was a historic six-story building at 1302 Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma, Washington designed by Chicago architects Daniel Burnham and John Root.The Luzon was built in 1890–1891 as the Pacific National Bank, which had a first floor entrance on Pacific Avenue and a second floor entrance on Commerce Street. Both floors contained businesses such as W.L. Davis & Sons Co. Furniture and Chaddy & Son Tailors in addition to the bank; the upper four stories were living space. The building was named "Luzon" in 1901, after the largest island in the Philippines, where on July 1 of that year William Howard Taft inaugurated establishment of American civil government of the Philippines. The building was demolished on September 26, 2009, despite efforts by local preservationists.

Shipment to China is an abstract sculpture by Hai Ying Wu, installed in Tacoma, Washington's Prairie Line Trail, in the United States. It has 100 bronze boxes on a 1909 train car. According to Wu, the work "shows the bitterness of the Chinese experience in America during that time, for the railroad built by their efforts was the same transportation used to carry them out of Tacoma".According to the Prairie Line Trail's website, the sculpture was donated by the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation, restored and installed by the City of Tacoma, and funded by the Washington State Heritage Capital Projects Fund.

The Locomotive Monument (sometimes referred to as Locomotive) is an abstract 1988 sculpture of a locomotive by Doug Granum, installed in Tacoma, Washington, in the United States.

The Tacoma Art Museum (TAM) is an art museum in Tacoma, Washington, United States. It focuses primarily on the art and artists from the Pacific Northwest and broader western region of the U.S. Founded in 1935, the museum has strong roots in the community and anchors the university and museum district in downtown Tacoma.

Stone Wave occupies the central courtyard of Tacoma, Washington's Tacoma Art Museum and is a major public work by sculptor Richard Rhodes of Seattle, Washington. Completed in May, 2003, the wave is constructed using 650 unique pieces of antique Chinese granite laid on a substrate of closed-cell foam and mortar. At once echoing the surging of waves and the volcanic core of Mount Rainier, the sculpture presents a zone of visual serenity among the museum's galleries.

Northwest College of Art & Design (NCAD) is a private for-profit college in Tacoma, Washington that focuses on the visual arts. The college offer the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Student enrollment is usually "under 125" in a given academic year. The college is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.

1201 Pacific, formerly the Wells Fargo Plaza, is the tallest building in Tacoma, Washington, and was completed in 1970. It was built with help from investors such as George Weyerhaeuser and Ben Cheney, and was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.The $14 million building was announced in 1968 and uses land that was cleared under Tacoma's urban renewal program. It was originally built for the National Bank of Washington, which was acquired in 1970 by Pacific National Bank (later First Interstate Bank of Washington), in turn acquired in 1996 by Wells Fargo. It was known as the Wells Fargo Center until 2016, when it lost its naming rights.The building, now owned by Unico Properties, was awarded LEED Silver certification in 2011.

Key Bank Center, formerly the Puget Sound National Bank Building, is a 16-floor high-rise in Tacoma, Washington. When completed as the National Realty Building in 1911, the 71 m (233 ft) tower was the tallest building in the state of Washington until surpassed by Seattle's Smith Tower in 1914. Key Bank later sold the tower and moved into the building at the corner (1101 Pacific) which now houses the South Puget Sound District Offices of Key Bank as well as its Tacoma Main Branch office. The tower, with marble quarried in Alaska, was designed by Frederick Heath.

Commerce Street/South 11th Street station is a light rail station on Link light rail's T Line in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The station officially opened for service on September 15, 2011, as an infill station, and is located one block south of the Commerce Street transit mall, served by Sound Transit Express, Pierce Transit and Intercity Transit buses. It was proposed by the City of Tacoma in 2010 and approved by the Sound Transit Board in September 2010. The station was officially named "Commerce Street" by a Sound Transit Board motion passed on July 28, 2011. Construction began in April 2010 and cost approximately $350,000. The station was built with 40-foot (12 m) platforms, approximately half the length of other Tacoma Link stations.On October 11, 2022, Commerce Street became the northern terminus of Line T following the closure of Theater District/South 9th Street station, which is planned to be relocated as part of the Hilltop Extension. Following the completion of the extension in 2023, Commerce Street will be renamed to Theater District, replacing the South 9th Street station. The name change was requested by the City of Tacoma and members of the community.
