Kostrzyn nad Odrą (literally Kostrzyn upon Oder; Polish pronunciation: [ˈkɔst.ʂɨn ˌnad ˈɔdrɔ̃]; German: Küstrin [kʏsˈtʁiːn]) is a town in Gorzów County, Lubusz Voivodeship in western Poland, on the border with Germany.

Kostrzyn railway station is a railway station serving the town of Kostrzyn nad Odrą, in the Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland. The station is located on the Tczew–Kostrzyn railway, Wrocław–Szczecin railway and the now closed Grzmiąca–Kostrzyn railway. It is a unique station, one of two of its kind in Poland, with two levels of platforms oriented in different directions: north-south (Wrocław–Szczecin) and east–west (Tczew–Kostrzyn). The train services are operated by PKP, Polregio, Arriva and Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn.

The Kostrzyn–Słubice Special Economic Zone is in the centre of Europe, in western Poland, along the Polish–German border. The zone's grounds are located in three western Polish provinces: Lubuskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Wielkopolskie, from Karlino, Goleniów and Police in the North, to Lubsko and Bytom Odrzański in the South. It uses the economic and touristic potential of almost the whole west of Poland. Within the zone one can find the biggest cities, industrial and commercial centres of the region: Poznań, Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra. Created in 1997, the Kostrzyn–Słubice SEZ is one of the fastest developing special economic zone in Poland, because of its high rate of tax exemption, nowadays one of the highest in Poland, and its greenfields.

Dąbroszyn [dɔmˈbrɔʂɨn] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Witnica, within Gorzów County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-west of Witnica and 39 km (24 mi) west of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

Schloss Tamsel is a significant historical estate in the Brandenburg Neumark region. The estate is located in what is today the small village of Dąbroszyn, Poland, and consists of a manor house, a church and a park. It was constructed in the late 17th century by Field Marshal Hans Adam von Schöning. His granddaughter, Luise Eleonore, inherited the castle as a child of four and married Lieutenant-General von Wreech at age 16.

Chyrzyno [xɨˈʐɨnɔ] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Górzyca, within Słubice County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Górzyca, 25 km (16 mi) north of Słubice, and 45 km (28 mi) south-west of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

Młyniska [mwɨˈniska] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dębno, within Myślibórz County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south of Dębno, 35 km (22 mi) south of Myślibórz, and 87 km (54 mi) south of the regional capital Szczecin. Drzewice is the north-western borough (osiedle) of the town of Kostrzyn nad Odrą in western Poland. During World War II, the Stalag III-C German prisoner-of-war camp for Polish, French, British, Serbian, Belgian, Italian, American and Soviet prisoners of war was located there.

Sarbinowo [sarbiˈnɔvɔ] (German: Zorndorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dębno, within Myślibórz County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Dębno, 35 km (22 mi) south-west of Myślibórz, and 86 km (53 mi) south of the regional capital Szczecin. The village has a population of 490. Originally a West Slavic settlement, the village was first mentioned in 1261 as Torbarmstorp, a possession of the Knights Templar. By 1335 it was known as Tzorbensdorf in the Neumark region of the Margraviate of Brandenburg. In 1540 it fell to John, Margrave of Brandenburg-Küstrin. It was the scene of the Battle of Zorndorf, in which the Prussians under Frederick the Great fought the Russians commanded by William Fermor, on August 25, 1758. The battle was one of the bloodiest battles of the Seven Years' War. Zorndorf became part of the Province of Brandenburg in 1815 and the German Empire in 1871. After Germany's defeat in World War II it became part of Poland.

The Battle of Zorndorf, during the Seven Years' War, was fought on 25 August 1758 between Russian troops commanded by Count William Fermor and a Prussian army commanded by King Frederick the Great. The battle was tactically inconclusive, with both armies holding their ground and claiming victory. The site of the battle was the Prussian village of Zorndorf (now Sarbinowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland). During the battle, Frederick famously took a regimental standard and led an attack himself, rallying his troops.
