Giv'at Olga (Hebrew: גבעת אולגה, lit. 'Olga's Hill') is a suburb of the Israeli city of Hadera. Giv'at Olga is bordered on the west by the coastal strip of the Mediterranean Sea, on the east stretches Highway 2, the new Mall Hof Village, and the Hadera West train station. The northern border of the neighborhood is Hadera River Park, and its southern border is Hasharon Park, Ein Hayam, another suburb of Hadera West, and the entrance to Tel Gador Nature Reservation and its beaches.

Mikhmoret (Hebrew: מִכְמֹרֶת, מכמורת, lit. Fishing net) is a moshav in central Israel. Located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea around nine kilometres north of Netanya, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hefer Valley Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,504.

Hadera Ma'arav (West) railway station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת חדרה מערב, Tahanat HaRakevet Hadera Ma'arav) is an Israel Railways passenger station and freight terminal located in the city of Hadera. It serves the city, including its large industrial zones, as well as other small communities in the area.

The Sharon Escarpment or Sharon Cliff is the escarpment in Israel that connects the level of the coastal plain with the level of the Mediterranean Sea beach and the continental shelf and stretches along the Sharon coastal ridge approximately between Giv'at Olga and Tel Aviv, i.e., along the Sharon plain.The escarpment is up to 45m in height, of steepness 75-90°. Both the ridge and the escarpment are composed of alternating layers of kurkar (the local variety of sandstone) and loose palaeosol. The escarpment gradually moves eastward due to collapsing and slumping seawards. The separated slabs of kurkar slide downwards and crumble completely into fans of sand, swashed away by waves. The catchment area of the escarpment is visibly eroded by runoff, but this erosion is negligible compared to rockslides and slumps.The escarpment is threatened by road building, sand quarrying, drainage, slope grading, and other uncontrolled tampering with the topography. Coastal erosion of the Israeli coastal plain endangers ancient cities, such as Ashkelon, Yavne-Yam, Jaffa, Apollonia–Arsuf, Caesarea, Atlit, Akko and Achziv.The ridge was formed during the Late Pleistocene and the cliff developed when at about 7,500 years Before Present (BP) the sea level reached the western edge of the current ridge. Now this edge is at about 8 m. below the sea level. Galil and Zviely suggest that over these 7,500 years the cliff retreated for about 730m, i.e., at the rate about 9.7 cm. per year.

The Sharon plain (Hebrew: השרון, romanized: HaSharon; Arabic: سهل شارون, romanized: Sahel Sharon) is the central section of the Israeli coastal plain. The plain lies between the Mediterranean Sea to the west and the Samarian Hills, 15 km (9.3 mi) to the east. It stretches from Nahal Taninim, a stream marking the southern end of Mount Carmel in the north, to the Yarkon River in the south, at the northern limit of Tel Aviv, over a total of about 90 km (56 mi). The level of the Sharon plain is connected to the level of the Mediterranean Sea by the Sharon Escarpment. Parts of the plain are included in the Central, Haifa and Tel Aviv Districts of Israel.

Mikhmoret Light (Hebrew: מגדלור מכמורת), or Mevo'ot Yam Light (Hebrew: מגדלור מבואות ים), is a lighthouse in Mikhmoret, Israel. It is located in the Mevo'ot Yam nautical school, on the north side of the harbor of Mikhmoret.

Mevo'ot Yam (Hebrew: מְבוֹאוֹת יָם, lit. Sea Gate) is a youth village on the coast of Israel. Located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea adjacent to Mikhmoret, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hefer Valley Regional Council. In 2021 it had a student population of 366. Mikhmoret Light is located on a building inside the village.

Nahal Alexander (Hebrew: נחל אלכסנדר), called Nahar Iskandar in Arabic (Arabic: نهر اسكندر), is a river in Israel that flows from the western side of the Samaria mountain belt in the West Bank to the Mediterranean Sea, north of Netanya. The length of the river is about 45 km. Several small streams flow into Nahal Alexander: Nablus, Te'enim, Ometz, Bahan, and Avihail. The river is the habitat of soft-shell turtles that can reach a size of 1.20 meters.

The Hillel Yaffe Medical Center (Hebrew: מרכז רפואי הלל יפה) is a major hospital on the western edge of Hadera, Israel. It serves a population of about 450,000 residents in an area ranging from Zikhron Ya'akov in the north to Netanya in the south, from the Mediterranean coast in the west to Umm el-Fahm and the Green Line in the east. The center is named after Hillel Yaffe, a pioneering Yishuv doctor who worked in nearby Jewish settlements during the First Aliyah in the early 20th century.

On 27 March 2022, two Islamic State gunmen opened fire at a bus stop in Hadera, Israel, killing two people and injuring twelve.The attack came as Israel held the Negev Summit, a conference between Israeli authorities and representatives of Egypt, Bahrain, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates (the latter three had signed the Abraham Accords) were meeting in Sde Boker coinciding with a visit to Israel by United States secretary of state Antony Blinken.
